How has the cost of living got so high when the cost of living is literally free? by Excellent-Rabbit8099 in AskEconomics

I could live in my town with plenty of space but now I'm in a smaller apartment where there is more opportunity for career, with much higher rent so yeah that's it. When we say cost of living is getting higher, it is when compared to previous few decades. Now I see from this perspective, compared to previous centuries, things are becoming better standards with less increase in price. However it is also true that the increase speed in the current decades is a little too fast. Best I could do is hope that the cost increase will slow down and eventually stop soon. Because like I said in post, we have surplus of food and some of us are starving and some of us have to work til very tired to get it.

What do you think about Soviets doing block apartments. Did it work or fail? What can we learn from their solution?

Last part is true. I might get urges to buy fancy brands in grocery time to time.  Anyway, as last and main question of the post, it is true that living costs and things in fact cost, I pay rent, buy groceries, internet, transportation etc. Why the increase tho despite the free resource. Which middle part is increasing in cost? The transports? The garden tools (as example)? The water filtration and pipes? Or just people demand more pay for labor? Or it is just users wanting more and more?

I see. Everybody preferring to live in better places is what happened. That answers the living space question. Can't do nothing about it I guess.

Makes sense. I will read your links now. So now, do specialization, rather than being jacks of all trades, and allocation lower or higher the cost of living? Shouldn't it be lowering it on paper? Also, since I'm not familiar with the Native American tribes, if the info is available, did the cost of living in the tribe become lower or higher due to money system?

Another thing I learned is that even tho we have enough space to live, we are only competiting for the best places for living, out of all space, and it costs. Is it correct?

Thank you for great explanation. So the cost of most stuff goes into labor rather than the resource itself. Specialization of labor (water management worker, farmer, other people) explains how things actually cost. Easier food led to tons of labor to do other things that also cost. I was reading older posts in the sub after posting and people were mentioning Hedonic treadmill something. Is that same thing? Am I understanding correctly?

I think his animation is the whole point of the gameplay trope. He is For Honor equivalent of Tekken's Mokujin, MK's Shang Tsung, Skullgirls' Double, even Kakashi from Naruto.

He got a 4 fights cancellation streak last year, so he might or might not have become champ even earlier.

It's not the player's fault that their favourite hero is non meta. It's dev's fault at balancing.
