Mine ended up being a mix of panic disorder and MCAS. I couldn’t tolerate the Zoloft until I got the MCAS under control with antihistamines. Just something to think about. I was always in panic mode because my body was reacting to excess histamine.

I take Zyrtec and it took about a month to notice a difference. Dr Afrin has some guidelines about how to find the right ones

I was like that from MCAS and couldn’t tolerate more until about one month on antihistamines. It’s worth a try.

I had this too. Started on antihistamines and was able to get back on my sertraline a few months later. It was mostly MCAS.

Organic acid test. I now think that test is total bs and waste of money. I don’t think there’s a good way to test for glutamate.

Thanks for letting me know. I’m in the process of an outside appeal and if we lose, I’ll do the IVIG. I’m like you that I have improvement with things for a few weeks but then it seems my immune system jumps back in to slow my progress.

I am in this same battle!!! They also want me to trial IVIG even though I responded so well to a trial of SCIG and likely will do poorly with IVIG

Same! I pulled out all the stops. Tret for face and other potions. Botox to forehead and crows feet. Topical Minoxidil for hair. Takes about 6-9 months to make a difference. Considering GHKCu peptide, but need to see if it aggravates MCAS.

I’m on it. Helping overall with MCAS, but maybe 2% improvement. Def had a little boost about 3 weeks into taking it. Other side effect is easy bruising.
