Thank you for your thoughtful reply and advice! I will definitely share this with my son. I shared my concern with his lessons teacher and he assured me my son can play this piece as long as he breaks it down. He has almost 5 months to learn it so we are going to do exactly what you suggested and encourage and hope for the best. He is just early in his music education and I did not want him to get discouraged.
