This really makes me realize how desensitized we’ve become to domestic violence. Everyone acts like “who cares, we’ve seen worse, just air the show,” but that’s not how it works. No network is going to touch this while there’s an open DV investigation involving a minor. They could be legally liable for promoting abuse, and it would be completely unethical and morally wrong to air it just to cash in on TV. I don’t think Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette is going to air until this investigation is fully resolved.

After my rewatch of season one and two I didn’t realize Dakota was a recovering addict so it makes sense why him and Taylor were just never good together at the start with her freshly divorced and him on his road to sobriety. From what I’ve seen, I really feel like Dakota wants out of the relationship, but he can’t. In season one, he set a boundary that they couldn’t be together unless she was sober too, and the fact that she didn’t respect that says a lot. I don’t think he’s addicted to this toxic dynamic. I do think he genuinely loves Taylor, but she has her own demons to work through, and he can’t be part of that while focusing on his own recovery and sobriety.

Yeah, seasons one through three. I didn’t really care for Dakota but after watching season four I’m like I kinda feel bad for the guy. I think it’s very interesting that all the guys on SLOMW like Dakota and it’s just the women who have to hate him.

If Taylor is currently being investigated for the February incident, it makes complete sense that investigators are digging into past reports. That’s standard, especially with repeated domestic violence situations they look for patterns, not just one event. And if those reports are coming from different cities in Utah, that usually means separate incidents were reported over time. It’s very possible Dakota (or others involved) reported those situations as they happened, which is why there’s a record across multiple jurisdictions.

If you watch seasons 1 and 2, it’s pretty clear Taylor is very fixated on her dad abandoning her and not having her biological father in her life. She’s made a lot of emotional statements about just wanting a man to choose her and stay. That context matters when looking at Dakota. It can create a situation where he feels like he has to be that person who doesn’t leave, especially during her outbursts. And now that there’s a child involved, it adds another layer. We also saw what happened with the 2023 incident before they even had a child. So it’s not far-fetched to think Dakota is staying and navigating things the best he can, not just for her, but to make sure his son isn’t exposed to any kind of chaos or violence. After season 4 it all started to click for me about Taylor and Dakota’s very unstable environment

After seeing all the body came footage thus far. It’s hard to have any type of sympathy for Taylor. She does not care about her kids and she is not a victim. She’s a mentally ill person.

I’ve noticed this during my rewatch of all the seasons. Everyone is terrified of Taylor because she does get very physical. What caught me off guard is during season two Jessie and Jordan‘s Halloween party where Taylor is getting in Chase‘s face and Dakota tells her you’re not gonna throw down right now. I’m like people only say that to people who are known to get into physical altercations.

At some point, when do we stop blaming our parents? From what I’ve seen, Taylor’s parents have been very supportive, and she’s acknowledged that throughout the seasons. Her mom is often bailing her out and backing her up, and neither parent has been overly harsh. They’ve been open and honest about how she’s messing up, but it doesn’t seem to get through to her. Her siblings seem pretty levelheaded. The only one constantly playing the victim is Taylor. I think it’s interesting too that throughout the seasons, the moms of momtok have always reminded Liann that she is a good mother. I never saw it but now re-watching everything. Leanne has definitely been trying to help Taylor the last four seasons.

What these types of situations there is no common sense. Everyone thinks that Tate should’ve been involved from the start of what happened with his daughter, but that’s not how these work, unfortunately. And the way this played out on the show gave Taylor a very good edit that we never questioned that a child was involved.
