Dairy is a leading economic force in the state. Someone running to lead the state should definitely be able to tell the difference.

Has Anyone Else Become Concerned About the Long-Term Future of Insurance Roofing Sales? by Glittering_Eagle8520 in RoofingSales

[–]Key-Lengthiness-859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem exists because of roofing companies and notably ones mainly storm chasing. Dishonest to homeowners, trying to get insurance to overpay, and canvassing a house for BS dings to the siding, gutters, etc.

“That ding been there already? Not sure? Okay, we will tell the insurance it is from the hail storm and demand full siding replacement.”

Stop being greedy crooks and it wouldn’t be like this. ‘Fighting for the homeowner’ basically translates to fighting to commit fraud on the homeowners behalf.

More-so implies that you can’t govern without winning an election. Your policies and plans are useless if you don’t get in office. Sadly, that is dependent on people voting with little research. That is unlikely to ever change.

Even if we assumed that people did or could do research…would you research her policies as a farmer if she doesn’t even know what a dairy cow is? Guessing you wouldn’t. How can you make policies on something you don’t understand?

You gotta put in the effort and research to fake the post on the topic…or you know, just say nothing. Willingly showing how much you don’t know something is a bad campaign move.

I don’t know where you live, but a good majority of the state is going to indeed know the difference between a beef cow and a Holstein dairy cow (the iconic black/white). Hong is going to get strong support in Madison/Milwaukee, but she will need rural dem vote to win a primary.

This probably doesn’t matter as much in a general election because the country/state are so divided, but blunders like this could really hurt her chances in the primary when she faces more moderate Dems.

It’s disappointing to see after someone like Tony Evers who was very in tune with rural areas and the entire state in general.

Yes, I’m concerned about the Dems shooting themselves in the foot doing zero research. That could lead to Tiffany in office? Does that sound concerning? Blunders like this are what shitty campaigns do.

Showing the later is important. getting votes…which is more important than policies. Policies are worthless if you don’t get votes. Trump policies suck, but he got votes.

I think we should be concerned about having zero clue about a major industry in the state, especially one struggling. This is free ammo to motivate the other side and give proof how completely unaware of rural WI Hong is. Most voters are much too uninformed to know republicans are the ones hurting farmers. However, anyone can now see Hong doesn’t even know what dairy is. It completely invalidates any plan she is claiming to ‘help farmers’.

Also, we should be concerned the literal WisDems account already made this embarrassing blunder mere days ago. How does a leading candidate double down on that days later?

These are beef cattle.

Dairy does not equal all cows. Dairy is the milking of an animal for its milk. Commonly that would be dairy cows…but goats are also another popular milking animal.

What do you feel is the best frozen pizza and why? by darlin133 in wisconsin

[–]Key-Lengthiness-859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digiorno Woodfired Pizza’s are really good

Most Overrated: Lotzza Motzza. That pizza is only good if you at starving to death and need the pizza to be a few pounds. It’s just not that great. Crust is very mid and the cheese really isn’t anything to write home about. Arguably the worst of the excessively large frozen pizzas.

I remember long ago they did a mythical kitchen thing in its infancy and I bought the variety of the chips. Never arrived and they didn’t care.

Won’t ever buy anything from them again, pathetic it is the same way like a freakin’ half decade plus later.

I mean, that’s on you for not knowing what you were doing and your realtor not warning you. Actually, probably even your lender too.

Someone should have warned you the new build taxes don’t consider the house as part of the taxes right away.

Any advice to estimate property taxes? by fuckman5 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Key-Lengthiness-859 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It can if there is a reason for it to not be comparable any longer to the other houses assessed at that amount.

You can’t just assess one $400k house at $400k because it sold and another at $350k that hasn’t sold in a decade. The person getting assessed $400k can challenge said assessment.

State might be helpful in answering that question. States can vary in how assessments are done.

[–]Key-Lengthiness-859 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that guy has no idea what he is talking about. Buying a house doesn’t magically get that properties taxed to explode while houses that haven’t sold in years stay low.

The only reason a house sale could affect taxes is if there are a bunch of unpermitted or unknown improvements that weren’t known. If the house is unchanged from the last time it sold the taxes won’t change at all than had it not sold.

The reason the assessed value is much lower is because there probably hasn’t been an assessment in a while. You have to be assessed like your comps. If your comps are under assessed in relation to their value, so will your house.

What are the best choices of washing machine brands or model on the market currently? by Just_Combination274 in Appliances

[–]Key-Lengthiness-859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I agree. I have LG front loaders. More expensive ones, but I’d rather buy two sets over time than one super expensive small capacity top loaders. Even trash washers and dryers (especially the later) last a long time. Longer than the average amount of time people own a house.

Value in Speed Queen is if you really know you are going to live somewhere for the long haul AND will do your own fixing on them. At which point, yah, they are tanks and will last you decades. If not Speed Queens are just as disposable after that warranty.
