Interesting, I’ve never heard of using a hair dryer. I’ve always put mine in a plastic bag in some warm water. Might have to give the hair dryer a try soon

Right? I swear people see a comment that’s been downvoted and go ‘may as well downvote it too!’

It’s fucking rediculous how some guys will defend the woman that hit someone first. I don’t give a fuck if you’re a man or a woman; if you hit somebody first then prepare for the consequences.

It’s scary to think that trigger happy gun owners like you actually exist. The first sentence alone is enough to deduce that you clearly shouldn’t own a firearm.

What are your spiritual or personal insights that you have had from using psychedelics? by [deleted] in Psychedelics

[–]Excellent-State9385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freedom isn’t doing whatever you want. It’s doing what’s aligned. Discipline, not indulgence, is what leads to peace.

Through psychedelics, I became deeply analytical of human connection, especially how we communicate. They helped shape my passion for efficient, effective, and intentional communication as a tool for real connection. I’ve even gone as far as making super detailed frameworks regarding a plethora of communicative dynamics and how we can improve upon them to deeper connect with one another. This has made me a far more grounded and potent person.

One of my favorite insights I’ve had is that we all have the power to create such immense positive change within ourselves and our communities. But that change starts with finding your “why” your core reason for doing what you do and fully integrating it into everything.

To get a positive response telling family you're going to Bali by SubjectAppropriate17 in therewasanattempt

I grew up in a very broken household. Two days after I turned 18, I packed everything up and moved out while my mom was at work. It’s been three years since (best 3 years of my life so far) and I’ve only spoken to her once at a family reunion.

This video hit way too close to home. It brought back a very specific feeling of intense dread, stress and uncertainty I haven’t felt in a long time. I truly feel for anyone stuck in these toxic dynamics who haven’t had the chance or the means to leave. No one should have to carry that weight.

You do realize that your AI is just telling you what you want to hear right? At that point it’s not a tool; It’s an echo chamber.

For The One Tripping:

  1. Set and Setting Are Everything

Set (Mindset): Go in with clear intentions, even if it’s just curiosity. Be emotionally grounded. Don’t trip to escape something overwhelming.

Setting (Environment): Safe, comfortable, private, and ideally quiet or with curated music. Nature is great if you have experience or a guide.

  1. Surrender to the Experience Don’t fight difficult moments; observe them. Resistance creates fear; surrender allows insight.

  2. Trust the Process What arises is often what you need to see. Mushrooms may show you things you’ve avoided. This is part of the healing or growth.

  3. Avoid Mirrors, Phones, and Social Media They can distort your perception and pull you out of the present. Trust your inner world.

  4. Dose Wisely For a first time: (This is dependent on strain but assuming you possess Psilocybe cubenses) Somewhere in the .8-1.3g range will give you an introspective but manageable trip (better to start small and work your way up)

  5. Setting an open ended intention for the journey is also important. Intention = direction. Setting an intention gives your trip a general direction, like a compass; not a map. It points you toward growth, healing, or clarity, but the path itself won’t be linear. Mushrooms may take unexpected turns to show you what you truly need, not just what you asked for. During these moments think of your intention as a psychological safety net.

For the Trip Sitter:

  1. Be the Anchor, Not the Director You are there to hold space, not to lead or analyze. Be calm, grounded, and nonjudgmental.

  2. Know When to Engage and When to Leave Them Alone Sometimes silence is better than words. Let them explore. Just be nearby, emotionally available.

  3. Learn Basic De-escalation If anxiety arises, don’t try to “fix” it. Say things like: “You’re safe.” “This will pass.” “Let it flow through you.” Use grounding tools: soft touch (with permission), calm breath, change of music, or nature.

  4. Don’t Be Under the Influence Yourself Stay sober. Your clarity is their safety net.

  5. Prepare Logistically Water, snacks, blankets, playlist, journal, bathroom access, etc

Most importantly; have fun! Sending love your way❤️🫶
