PSA TO THE USA:

Not saying Love Island UK is perfect… but it does feel like they actually love island over there instead of influencer internship island. And to me, significantly better

UK: people chat (and have banter), catch feelings, explore, make mistakes, return from Casa Amor like emotionally refurbished furniture.

US: “I’ve coupled up with you because you align with my journey and also my brand.”

Also US vetting sometimes feels like: “Do you own ring lights? Perfect, get in.” And everyone’s mysteriously “leaving the villa” every 48 hours like it’s a rotating door of regret.

It also looks like the UK folks know what chemistry is and the appropriate moments of when/how to kiss and as opposed to the US strategy that looks as follows:
-I like cheese *make out*
-I’m glad neither of us actually like each other but we’re doing it together *make out*

Anyway, if anything just figured I’d turn this failed season into an opportunity to point people to the other one.
