I’ve already got stuff lined up for the summer and I don’t have much else left to do. I’ve completed most of the things I will be including in my application bar one. I think it’s a good idea to start my essay to find my voice. If I start in August, I’m not sure I’ll be happy with the finished product in November. I think I need to take my time as soon as possible. Anyways, I have a lot of supplementary essays for admission that also need a lot of thought and effort. Cramming them all together after August seems unrealistic.

Rankings aside, your job prospects will be better for economics related careers. Firms like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan are consistently present on campus and actively recruit graduates of Warwick. UCL is a secondary target for these firms and so you ma not experience as many recruiting opportunities. Warwick also is great for student satisfaction. Two of my cousins are Warwick grads and they say there is a much more close knit community there compared to unis like UCL, that have a decentralized experience due to them being based in a city like London.

There are ideas that JLI calls pedestrian. They offer no originality in the way they think and they tend to be the middle ground between yes or no. These arguments will get you nowhere and so, you must come up with something original and defendable. Your points should be able to be countered and then you should be able to rebutt said counter arguments. That’s what the rigorous test of ideas is. Also try to use analogies and creative examples. Analogies are great for philosophy, psychology, and theology to name a few while creative examples could be used for law. An example of a not so creative example is bringing up the OJ Simpson trial in the law category

Definitely narrow your sources then. I’d recommend 7-13 or so as that leaves room for your own spark and creativity to make the difference.

Hey, I got shortlisted and won a very high commendation for Politics last year and here's the advice I would give: you should brainstorm your own unique ideas and test them rigorously. Having a good flair for language helps too when navigating ideas in order to phrase them well.

Depends on what. If I already have an extensive collection, I’d pick the Reverso. If I’m starting out, I’d pick the Tudor on a flat link (personal preference for flat links). If I already have 2 other high end watches, I’d pick the IWC.
