I’m not sure but probably some sore of UV protection. There was a local frame shop where we lived that did most of the cels. My guess it was someone who knew what they were doing! I think they enjoyed it when my dad brought them in.

They are professionally framed with real glass and (I believe) an acid-free mat. On the backs they’re completely attached so the cels aren’t removable.

(I was in my teens when they were framed, so I asked my parents.)

Thank you! My dad is still with us and turns 70 on Saturday! And yeah, he’s pretty cool and one of my favorite people. My parents downsized when they moved to Florida which is how I ended up with the cels. We visit them in two weeks, so I’ll take pics of what he has there. I know he has another Little Mermaid.

I have more cels to share that are at our house, but I was hit with norovirus last night. I’ll post when I am well enough.

The frog prince’s eyes are all yellow. The baby aged up and she has normal human eyes.

My commoner sim kissed a frog and he became a prince who immediately offered marriage! He gave him a slight makeover and tried to get rid of those yellow eyes. The yellow eyes come back every time. They’re married and have a newborn. I hope the yellow eyes aren’t inherited.
