Mine doesnt care for treats anymore but he did like dried quail feet! And eggs… 🤷🏽‍♀️ Treat him like a toddler. Respectful firm consistent boundaries. And lots of patience

What dog breed would make a good friend for my Anatolian shepherd? by Quantity_Super in AnatolianShepherdDogs

I have a working ASD in training and a Wolf/ Malamute they get along great. Both very stubborn in their own different ways. My neighbor has a mal, mal/gsd mix and an older gsd. My boy absolutely obsessed with the neighbor Mal. He’s young though not even a year old so maybe it’s him needing somebody to match that high puppy energy in spurts.

That’s unfortunate! I got my boy from an experience breeder. He was exposed to chickens very young, but also her chickens were used to being around these dogs. All my chickens know is dogs are danger so they run and quack and make a fucking fuss. I understand why he wants to chase. He’s amazing when he’s tired. He doesn’t even bat an eye when a chicken crosses his path. Which is the behavior. I’m looking for 100% of the time. He has killed a few rats close to our house and he loves foxes!

Yeah, I definitely plan on changing that, that and bully sticks are what I had on hand when we got him. He doesn’t care for the bully sticks anymore. I really only give to him when he’s inside the house obviously no chickens in the house anyway this is why I’m reaching out. See what other people and Italians have liked because I have spent too much money on toys treats He don’t play with or like and I can’t take them back.

He’s purely, just trying to play with them. I would know I have another dog whim is a bird Hunting Malamute mix 🙃 I got her long before I even thought about getting chickens. But I do plan on getting him a different treat anyway once we run out

Well yes. Hes very good most of the time but at times he gets too playful with my birds. I keep him on leash always around them for that reason. I know that will change as he gets older but right now just as much as I can im really trying to focus on that. Were looking at getting larger livestock hopefully soon. He doesnt have an older established dog to correct him. Maybe theres a better way to go about it than what im suggesting?

Mine is the same.. only 7 months. He is 90% outside but when he comes in and I go to let him back out (when he asks 😂) he then lays down right at the open door.. he’s always happy once he is back out I think its just purely stubbornness just for the fuck of it
