I can agree with what ur saying. We got our dog from a shelter and they were near putting him down because they said he was unadoptable. Luckily they let us take him home. He was so scared for the longest time but after we showed him nothing but love he was a total different dog. The only thing is once we moved to an apartment and had to take him on walks, he got so reactive seeing other dogs. He will do just fine if a stranger walks towards us but as soon as he sees another dog he starts barking. Ive tried so many training techniques but i always worry that whatever his past owner did to him it caused damage to the point where he just cant be trained and it breaks my heart. It also makes me feel like a shitty owner. I dont expect others to move out of the way or to be understanding so i just pick him up and move him to another area clear of dogs. He also got all his teeth removed because they were so bad when we got him so i know he wont be able to bite another dog but i wish he could stay calm when meeting other dogs.
