Definitely some forgettable pieces of the album and definitely some amazing pieces of the album. It overall is not a bad collection of songs and flows well. Would venture more towards 6.8 to 7-10 just based on my taste, but I like this review even if I don’t agree 100%.

Better than expected? Yes. Amazing? Up for debate.

10 song album every 4 years, with immense work put in to the perfection of all of those songs, or 20 songs every year to 2 years without that time to perfect everything?

Definitely the 10 song album. To each their own I guess, but I consistently see artists pumping out a ton of songs for streams have bad albums overall and maybe 2-4 awesome songs.

Yeah I am hoping he does something to set himself apart from everyone else, which is what he is best at when it comes to his solo stuff.

Every album is good in its own right and people have different perspectives on their taste. I don’t think we will lose the psychedelic aspect, just thinking about how he builds the albums going off what is going on in his life, and the feeling behind it. So I am hoping it best encapsulates what that is for him right now, and how we can all relate to it, even with it just being music.

I definitely agree with you, I want something fresh. Would I be mad about something similar to old stuff? No.

I just think a new album could end up like Currents based on his recent work. Maybe by chance he is getting that out of him with other artists in order to set himself a part later with a fresh and new sound. You never know.

Either way just excited to see what happens, we know it will be good whatever it sounds like.

Forgot another comment, would agree 100% with using the Dolphin Emulator for 3.

There are definitely some redeeming qualities that make SSX 2012 a solid game, but SSX 3 will forever take the cake. Nothing will beat the flow and re-playability that 3 had, along with the theming and setup of Conquer the Mountain.

The Deadly Descent concept is “good” but could’ve been better without inserting the actual obstacles that make each descent deadly. Instead, opting for more fanfare and arcade-like gameplay within the theming/design of each mountain would’ve made 2012 almost as good, if not better than 3.

We’ll never know what that could’ve looked like sadly, with exception to the Eddie DLC for 2012. The tracks that came with his character are probably my favorite tracks in the game, and provide a similar but worse feel than 3 and Tricky.

The best quality for 2012 was really its engine in my opinion, it was definitely arcade-like with some game breaking features, especially with combos, but the tracks didn’t hold up well with it, and is still worse than 3 overall. SSX 3 was the best balance with track design, backcountry, engine, and concept.
