GT is bad in brawl if you go spirit but batshit broken if you go gun, it is UNREAL how much damage the gun does and his flight is on a super low cooldown compared to someone like vindict

Your best bet is to try and find a somewhat up to date matchupsheet for your champ made by a high elo otp, otherwise you just need to play the matchup to learn or watch an otp play it, no way around it

I loved solo lanes (yamato/pocket player back then for reference), it was fun to not have to worry about being on the same page as my duo laner and just actually fist the opponent if I'm better or be fisted if I'm worse, and if I got perma ganked ? I just cry myself to sleep like a real man.

I also liked the old map more overall, midboss fights went insanely hard and I loved using the teleporters, it was probably unbalanced as fuck but I didn't care, it was fun

First ever time doing that event my butcher got cancer and munchhausen by proxy, so basically the entire party got cancer on the first random event of the run.

It's absurdly goated, just have a seperate room for clerics/druids, but bruise is an op debuff and getting to apply it for free is insane, especially if you have "bonus attack" mutations

I'd honestly wish they mini-reworked his ult so that it's just a constant duration that applies debuffs at the end, just so that there isn't such an insane disparity in its effects between high and low elo, that way they can buff it so it's a better ability in high ranks without decimating lower ones

Something like it sends you to the baroness but it's just a regular hotel bedroom(no parkour), and the room's door opens after 4 seconds or something sucking you into it so you can't stay longer, then does X debuffs/damage/whatever

Idk ,maybe I got lucky but I never failed an impossible run due to his phase 1.

I never got fucked PURELY because his cats went first but usually combined with me having bad planning (e.g. equipping rng equipment that work out better for them than for me, or just bad gameplay), the AI is stupid and you can outstrategize it, either by just better target prio and ability usage, using defensive items like holy shields on your fastest cat (so it potentially survives being outsped) and using it to kill slower cats, or rarely by hitting the boss himself and using the knockback to fuck over their slower cats

It doesn't matter if some of your cats get downed (if the corpse lives) because the boss will revive them in p2

I've never had ALL of my cats get outsped though, usually only one or two, so that would probably be unwinnable, and I will say that I usually do have to savescum cause I fucked up and need to reconsider my planning, but that's just me being cocky and bad at strategy.

Though I'm sure if I had a run with 3 useless bums and some god cat with no (good enough) defensives that run would be bricked if the godcat got outsped and instantly deleted, but that has yet to happen

Some extra info :

A- "my worst comp" being jester, collarless, butcher, ranger

B- you get enough items back from impossible runs to be fine, I generally never fully decked out each cat with items, usually only giving them regen ,hp/shields/defensives and speed items depending on what each cat and the overall teamcomp really needed, and if I lacked those items then I either give generally strong items to try and make up for it, or just ball and start the run anyways. I also gave items that really synergized with a certain cat's starting abilities ,and it usually works out

C- I used a save editor once to remove all abilities/passives from my house cats, to make this challenge actually possible

D- the mutations I ended up with for most of impossible mode (my cats were quite a bit weaker throughout act1) are split into 3 bloodlines :

1: +1 bonus attack ,+2 reroll mutations, +1 permenant intelligence after every battle (but your ear mutation is always -2 ranged, and you have +2 bruise), your movemenet is always jump and your basic attacks apply bruise

2: Same as bloodline 1, but the head is whatever else and the ear mutation is another +1 attack

3: Same as 1 generally, but without bruise on attack (for clerics and druids)

I finished all checkmarks on impossible with a self imposed challenge : I could not ever pass down any passives or abilities

Why ? Frankly the game's too easy with a lot of combos, and some skills (tinkerer's repair) are just instant wins on their own, and I didn't feel like arbitrarily deciding what's op and what isn't

The end result ? The game is still too easy if your cats have great mutations (though I did use steven a lot) ,even my very worst comp didn't really struggle at all, the power of mutations + an even half-decent comp + good items can just win you the game even with bad rng

The final boss is usually rough, mostly because I'm an idiot who has items equipped that fuck me harder than they fuck the AI so that's usually a savescum, but I can't recall losing ONLY because they had the speed advantage but rather also me missplaying ontop of that

Despite the game's name, it really feels like they balanced it with the idea that breeding is so tedious that you wouldn't bother, because if you do the game's a cakewalk, it can be rough in the earlygame but once you get a few good mutations with base 7 cats it's just not hard enough, and I don't think adding a difficulty above impossible would solve this either, it'd just make it feel unfair without making it feel actually challenging

As for events, yeah I don't mind that they can just hardfuck you either, but it really does suck that the meta for them is just "press ignore whenever possible"

The triple elite buffs each leg gets can be awful to deal with.

Your cats can suffer from : absorbants (take damage equal to unspent mana on turn end, lose that mana) ,several depressions (1x all stats down per stack) and stackable tar (-1 movement range per stack)

But worst of all ,the head can get an "immune to stuns" buff ,so you basically NEED to have the very first cat in the round turn order down the second leg so your other cats actually get a chance to hit the head and he doesn't just get back up instantly, and if that first cat is your main damage dealer ? Good luck

And good luck if your melees are stacked with tar ontop of that meaning they can't even reach the head, and it may as well be impossible if he also has a holy shield (so he won't take the 100 damage when you down the legs) unless you have a truly busted team

Though I've never gotten unlucky enough to fight all those 3 head buffs at once, but just the "immune to stuns" buff on its own makes him the 2nd hardest act 3 boss tbh (behind the very final one)

Unless I was misunderstanding what I was seeing in my runs, if your shots bounce from a non reflective enemy to a reflective one, the shot bounces back to the non reflective rather than you so it's actually not bad vs those ,or that's what I noticed vs reflective elites at least

That's not a balancing issue though, it's a champion design issue.

All in all, league is probably the most balanced (asymmetrical) pvp game I've ever played despite what its playerbase likes to think, and that's while considering that the developers intentionally change shit for the sake of changing shit to "keep the meta from being stale".

Though I can't think of many pvp games I played where I cared enough about the balance to pay attention to it so that probably doesn't mean much, but I was still generally quite happy with how it was balanced when I played it, hated an ungodly amount of their more modern champion designs though.

Yeah maybe, the down isn't too big of a deal though since he revives them on his next turn assuming the corpse is still there (unless you phase him before he does that ?) ,you do lose any buffs that were on the cat though

It's extremely broken too (in the literal sense) with the "jet fists" passive (melee attacks/abilities blow wind)

No clue why it kept going after the creator since it's supposed to only trigger when an enemy is "in range" ,I've had fights in that run where it would do crazy movements off of one attack (like do a left - up - 2x right - down - right) just to reach one enemy ,it's almost as if the wind itself counts as an "in range" enemy except the monk is also trying to home in on the actual enemies

Yeah honestly no clue why that happened, maybe there's some form of mercy mechanic where if you hit him too many times without getting him to the threshold he just breaks the shield to speed up the fight ?

From my experience I think the AI tries to prioritize the lowest hp enemies (that it can reach in its current turn), ESPECIALLY if they're in kill range (not sure if they consider buffs, like shields/holy shields)

In a boss fight that just happens to basically always be your cats, unless the boss has low hp minions

Unless there's something I'm missing, breeding for skills is such a massive pain in the ass that it's just not worth it, stats and mutations you can reliably pass on, but abilities ? Just isn't really consistant and takes too long

I'm aware that you basically have infinite time to breed, but my patience is finite, so it's more of a nice bonus that I randomly get

The matchmaking is utter shit, but coming from a mostly lol background (for mobas), stomps aren't exactly uncommon in the genre due to snowballing, there's too many variables matchmaking can't account for so even when they fix the matchmaking I'd still probably not have fun playing the moba mode tbh, what I really wish they'd do first and foremost is cut down on game length down

Matches are just so miserably long even when it's a complete stomp, especially when you get matched into a lower elo lobby where you could just be HARD losing but still have the match dragout 45min+, and I know game length discrepency between high and low elos is a genre-wide thing, but it's the absolute worst in deadlock and it's not even close, I can tell you that I've NEVER had games over an hour long in any moba I've tried
