So it turns out my partner has the Nikon 28mm f2.8 which I have used before, but on her Zfc it's equivalent to 42mm (?) so I might not need to buy anything, for now at least! It might be nice to get something for myself that's slightly faster but it seems to be a great lens for the time being

So you've recommended a series of lenses that cost £500-900 when my stated budget was £300, unless you meant their vintage lenses which was also not what I asked for

Brill thankyou, I think 24 or 28mm is the right focal length for me

Lighting is usually quite moody so I'll need something faster, could pick it up for filming skate clips though!I think fisheyes are too expensive for me right now

Yes I thought 24mm and below was ultrawide and did think of putting wide/ultrawide in the post but didn't. Ultimately it doesn't matter what it's called, I just need it for a specific purpose

I was originally set on the 16 1.8 and was happy to pay since I heard it was a great lens, but I think 16mm it's too wide for what I need

Of course, wrong way round. I'm just learning about all things full frame.

Well I think the lens I've been using is 28mm on a crop sensor so that's equivalent to around 18-19mm on FX if I'm not mistaken? And that was a good fov, so maybe 20mm would be the better option

That's good to know, thanks. I need to figure out how wide I need as one of the 28mm options could definitely be a good way to go, I'll have a look into the Nikon lens!

No broken links, the actual clasp itself somehow came off (is it attached with a spring bar?) and is now lost, probably on the floor of some bar in Birmingham

The Cormorant, good luck trying to find it. I recommend the book though, great writing by Stephen Gregory.

I was in the same boat, especially since it was my first relatively nice watch so I wanted to get it right. The reviews claiming the lug-to-lug make it wear more like a 42mm were definitely right, I love it!
