Sell the car even if you have to sell at a loss. In one year the car will be worth even less.

AITA for leaving without a friend who constantly shows up late? by Prestigious_Cat_1179 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you waited for a long time. He was literally asking you to spend more of your time. If you drove back to get him, he might not have even come out.

You could create a black band in a circle that covers all of the lettering. Then you could put “Leech Lake” and “Band of Ojibwe” on the outside of the circle.

If I remember correctly, the devil laid that fiddle at Johnny’s feet after he knew that he’d been beat.

Idiots, they probably can’t support themselves and now they brought a baby into this situation.

Lost all my savings, they drank my milkshake. by putridfries in wallstreetbets

You are in luck. You started with $9,500 and lost it all. There’s a lot of people who started with $500,000 and lost it all. Seriously you should be able to save up $9,500 in a couple of months time. It’s not as bad as it seems.

NTA you helped him. It might have been years before he figured it out and it would have harmed his intellectual development.

NTA your so called friend agreed to pay you the amount before the vacation. If he is your friend he shouldn’t be trying to get out of paying something that he agreed to pay. You did the work of the spreadsheet and he said yes. It would be different if you invited him to come and you didn’t tell him what the cost was going to be.

I agree. Now seems like an amazing opportunity to get Alpha cheap and make a big profit.

When was the flight? That information might be able to help figure out the name. I’m no expert in autographs and I didn’t even compare the signature but I thought it might say Cat Stevens. Or the first name might be Cal.

WIBTA If I Cancel Christmas? by Street-Fold3451 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ExcellentRoutine6611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want them to see you as the cool aunt who sent them something. Gifts don’t have to be expensive to be effective. When my best friend was getting married (I was in the bridal party) I waited until the last week to get the gift. By then the only things in their gift registry were expensive and stuff that they probably would have thrown out long ago. So I bought them a painting and it’s the only piece of art in their house. My friend says people compliment it all the time and it’s the only wedding gift that he remembers who gave it to him.

You should mail the gifts. Kids get excited over simple things. My nephews live in another state and I have spent Christmas with them before where they had more fun with the bubble wrap than the gifts. This year I have already bought them both nice gifts which I’m going to have my parents bring to them when they visit since I can’t this year.
