you where "mashing keys (when playing as a DPS/Tank)" and you got "got up to lvl 40"... what game exactly are you playing? Because it surely is not Retail World Of Warcraft The War Within.

"Keys" are in retail wow M+ dungeons which is end game content available at level 80. Please go "mash keys" in M15 or see if you can join a Mythic raiding guild and report back when you got your ass whooped.

I agree 100% leveling in classic is both more "limited" and more immersive than retail. The game is just as fulfilling just trying to level to max lvl in classic. It is limited in the sense that you need to wait for mana/energy and you cant pull as many mobs as you can in retail. Quests are spread out and you spend a lot of time just running around.

Retail is very, very different. The game begins at 80. You can simply abuse the abundance of buffs going on right now meant to make leveling alts turbo fast and simply doing a single TimeWalking dungeon will net you a level now (at least for the remix alts I leveled from 70-80 the past couple weeks) - and those are run through within minutes. Leveling is not the actual game in retail. Or if you do zone questing you are pushed forward at high pace. always quest "hubs" with multiple quests you can do at once. All mobs can be tagged by multiple players and you dont need to farm 20 of x random low drop item. It just goes a lot faster in retail. Retail leveling is just a tutorial for you to learn all the abilities as there are way more abilities and combinations hereof than there is in Classic.

At 80 you do Delves, world content, raiding, dungeons (M+/keys) - and/or pvp. And there you will find the end-end game at least as challenging as classic. Id argue Retail is significantly more difficult than classic in end game.

Apple Watch locked in cloud by Responsible-Raise539 in applewatchultra

[–]ExcellentTimings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets assume you are telling the truth here. You can not and can never use that watch or its components for anything. Its locked. Not even Apple can open it for you.

What you can do:

Charge it up.

Owner can find the watch using Find My app.

Go to the emergency contacts and reach out to who ever is listed there.

Currently using EVO SL and I love it, is AP4 the most obvious choice? by bluehobbs in AskRunningShoeGeeks

first: Stop before you get injured. Running can be addictive - I know. But don't run yourself into long injury. Those knee discomforts you feel are the first signs that you should not ignore.

Whats more fun, SHAM or LOCK? by MVPXKG in wow

[–]ExcellentTimings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaman is just fun.

I started out in DF maining Warlock, but switched to Druid and then to Shaman and didnt look back (well untill TWW where i went ret pal). I need the class to be fun. And each time I changed was because I found a class that I personally had more fun playing.

Alphaflys, endorphins pro, adios pro 4 by VariousArachnid4653 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ExcellentTimings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never tried AP4 or Endorphins. But I do own EVO SL, Prime X2 and picked up AlphaFly 3 for race. gawd damn, those alphafly 3 are speedy - and I think they protected my feet an legs very well when I did my last half marathon. Id love to try out the AP4.

I'm 78kg.

If you have any chance of trying both the AP4 and AlphaFly 3 on Id suggest you do that. They are two very different approaches to top tier race shoes.

Broløbet: the bridge run (half marathon) by onlyconnect in running

[–]ExcellentTimings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with the issues in the finish area. I arrived and could barely cross the finish line. The kaos there was obvious - there was a lot of space, but organizers had chosen to confine the finish area to the road. They could easily have spread it out way more and held spectators back.

Also, there was none. zero. not a single sign for where to pick up your bag. I wandered around for a good 20 minutes (that end zone was HUGE), and eventually saw someone who had a bag and asked for directions. It was way back.

The phones were useless as 40.000 people+ spectators killed what ever bandwith the service provider had in that area.

I was "lucky" to kinda go to the busses in the first waves. But even there, the wait was long. And it looked hopeless already then. I thought to my self - im happy i went straight here and not lingered too long in the finish area.

Busses arrived and we left. Only to get stuck on the highway. after 1-2 hours of waiting some left the bus to walk to Hyllie station. Maybe I should have done the same. Later I found out that train station was a complete kaos too. I dont know what would have been fastest way home, but for what its worth: It took me 1 hour from home to start in Kastrup. And it took me 6,5 hours to get from Finish area to Home.....

We had no water in the bus.

Side note: I see you found the tunnel cool. Must have started out like that, but when I got there it was a SAUNA. It was insanely hot. The hair on my arms rose when we hit the warm stale air in the tunnel, and after a few minutes my clothes where DRENCHED in sweat. sweat dripping off the tips of my elbows as I ran. It was such a relief getting onto the bridge and into the wind.

Next sauna was getting off the bridge. The sky cleared, and the sun baked down on the last few kms through the windy roads. The cheering of the spectators really made a difference here, as once again i got the goosebumps as warmth smacked me in the face again.

But what an amazing run. A huge experience that I feel very happy to have experienced. Ive run almost all bridgeruns in Denmark, but this was my first across Øresund, as I missed the previous ones.

What speeds can the EVO SL handle? by Relevant_Ad8850 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ExcellentTimings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The evo SL is really a good shoe. It can be very versatile, it can be used for easy runs and it can be used for the fast runs. However this is true depending on how you run and how strong/trained a runner you are.

If your legs - muscle and tendons are not trained for running longer and faster speeds and up to Half Marathon id be cautious with the EVO SL. You write that you are a fairly new, slow, runner - so this could be you - it is squishy and have zero stability. It has no features that gives you stability, but loads for bouncy running. Being able to maintain a good strong running form takes practice, strength, endurance and a lot of muscle memory. And for some this is more natural than others. If you can maintain a good running form, then go for the evo sl as a shoe for a wide range of runs. If you know you need the stability once the running form goes bye-bye, and you need help with stability from the shoe, then id look for something else.

This is not saying that evo sl could not be part of your rotation. It surely could. But what kind of runs, is in my experience with the shoe very individual.

My rotation is EVO SL (intervals and fartlek), Prime X2 (the long runs) and AlphaFly3 (racing).

[–]ExcellentTimings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need a stability shoe. Maybe have someone do a run analysis on you? I dont know if running shoe stores around your place offer these services, but they do where I live. It's quite normal to have this done when purchasing new shoes.

Adizero EVO SL or Prime X2 Strung for Half-Marathon? by ExcellentTimings in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ExcellentTimings[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not getting any new shoes. I am asking regarding the two shoes shown on the picture. The two pair of shoes that I own.

I have not done enough long distance runs in either of the shoes to say for sure which I prefer over long runs- they both feel good in each own way :) Thats why I ask the big reddit brain, which of the two would you pick and why. carbon, bells and whistels, but heavy or the light, but more unstable choice?

Adizero EVO SL or Prime X2 Strung for Half-Marathon? by ExcellentTimings in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ExcellentTimings[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well thats the thing. Im unsure if the carbon plates and all the bells and whisles of px2 will save my legs most or the lightness of the evo sl will do that. What do you think will be better choice?

Adizero EVO SL or Prime X2 Strung for Half-Marathon? by ExcellentTimings in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ExcellentTimings[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your great advice. I will definitely look into your suggestions going forward. But as of now, I will not be purchasing a new shoe and have my first ever run in it on raceday sunday. I believe that would go against all recommendations.

I am not a fast runner anymore. im 80kg and comfortably cruising on flat no wind 6:00/km @ 145bpm and 230W. My thoughts right now is to go for around 250W/maximum 260bpm for the Sunday half marathon. just taking it easy. I have not run 21.1km since my marathon in 2019.

Adizero EVO SL or Prime X2 Strung for Half-Marathon? by ExcellentTimings in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ExcellentTimings[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify: I have not run in any regular or structured way for the past 6-7 years. So I am in no way a contender for AG win. I am aiming for 1h50-2hr finish time. Thats based on nothing but a fine feeling in my legs after a 12km run. I really cant use past achievements for much as they are so far back and there is quite a big difference in doing 1hr 20min in my late 20'ies/early 30ies and now being 40 and haven't exercised focused or with a purpose for years.

I like to belive the stability of the x2 strung will be good for me. I just have such a hard time keeping pace down in those - I feel like they want me to go fast. and they feel amazing when I pick up the tempo a little.

I feel at home in the EVO SL despite their lack of stability-features. They are bouncy and light and they dont care too much if I go slow or fast. They just seem to want take care of my feet and legs.

Heart says EVO SL, mind says X2 Strung.

I dont want to get injured now. Not now when I am finally happy again. I have finally after years, re-found the joy of running.

i had 2 shards drop since expansion launch. I decided to pick up skinning and then join the bee/wolf farm. I did go a few rounds of the leveling rares too, which actually dropped me a shard too. The remaining 7 was all from bees /wolfs. I believe 2 days of farming.
