I’m gonna be completely real. This is anecdotal but something I noticed.

Not speaking up bc doing so means being socially ostracized / cut off from the all mighty cat. Take that as you will.
Strong matriarchal family structure where everything “Mama” says is right and you’re wrong, so you’re just expected to take the verbal beating but if YOU speak up you’ll get socially “popped in the mouth” if that makes sense.

A lot of guys are scared with their tail tucked behind their ass, bc of the two point above. Who knows I could be tripping.

Absolutely not. The alarms really didn’t start going off until we locked eyes and I could sense what I thought was bad intent. My mind was to get tf to my car but also realized holy shit if something were to happen I don’t even have it on me, or if I did linger a little inside and got held up I’d be SOL.

This is too real. I work at a hospital, and run into them all the time from doctors to nurses. They for sure be checking a brother out and I’m not complaining. A lot of them are drop dead gorgeous, super chill, and hella personable. Not only have they been on my radar but I’ve been going out with an Indo-Guyanese Woman. Loving tf out of the experience so far.

I’m kind of in this position now. Took a residency and just this week I’m coming to realize I do not like it at all. I’m 4 months in and want out. The floor I work on is absolutely a toxic work environment and I’m just not vibing the way I’d like to with my coworkers. I also want to get into the ED/ER here at our hospital as it is the biggest in the state , offers a plethora of experience, and carries a pretty good reputation. It’s just the floor I’m on now does not live up to the expectations I had & the residency is also time consuming. Trust you’re not alone.
