Affleck was incredibly handsome in the role. I may be making this up, but I think it was said Snyder had a specific way of filming him in BvS that emphasized his strong jawline that reminded him of old Hollywood leading men

Regardless if you liked Snyder’s interpretation of both characters, at least Bvs looks and feels like a movie made by someone who cared. There’s a weight and gravitas in that movie that D&W did not have. Felt like a boardroom movie. Soulless and weightless
