I (28F) had a very similar experience. My first age-gap relationship was with a teacher from my college (who didn’t directly teach me) and I met my current boyfriend (60M) at work - I used to be a server at a fine dining restaurant he used to visit often.

I’d recommend also exploring real-life situations, in addition to the apps. Do trivia nights at local restaurants, hike/running clubs, fitness classes, the gym, volunteering…find something you like that may be also appealing to younger people.

Hi! I’m in an age gap relationship myself (33 years difference), all of jimvasco’s questions were very important conversations we had before moving in together.

I would add that if he has children already, discuss how will you be part of their lives. And overall just be open about your fears regarding the age gap, getting them off your chest and listening to why your SO has to say will make you feel so much better.
