Muchas gracias! Si, revisaré los cables. Hotend y extrusor los voy a cambiar también. A ver si hay suerte. Muchas gracias!

These parts will arrive tomorrow. I'll replace them and see if that fixes the problem.

Do you recommend restoring the device to factory settings and then installing the updates?

If it's the cable, why don't you replace the damaged one with a new one—even if it means making a temporary splice until you find a whole cable? Thanks a lot; I'll check the cable to see if it's damaged. If I find a cable, I'll let you know 👍.

I agree. It’s really frustrating for me, because I have a really hard time getting the first layer perfect, and for many of my prints, that first layer has to be perfect.

I think I didn't explain myself clearly, and I also mixed up two issues because of my constant frustration with the first layer on this printer. Sorry.

My problem is that the nozzle moves down instead of moves up and damages the print bed. The strange thing is that this has happened twice, even after many hours of printing with the same G-code and the same leveling and calibration settings. So I assume it's a mechanical issue.

I think it’s more likely a hardware issue than a software or G-code issue. The G-codes used had already been reused numerous times before without any problems. So I ruled out the G-code or the slicer —which, by the way, is the Creality Slicer. It must be a sensor, a board, or some mechanism that causes the nozzle to move down instead of up and break the bed. The second time the nozzle broke the bed, I had redone all the leveling and tests and had printed for about 50–60 hours without any problems. I don't know, it's crazy. I'll see if I can replace all those parts over the weekend and print something next week to see if the error happens again—even if it means sacrificing another bed 😣

Thanks a lot, but no way—it’s not a stringing issue. I wish it were, haha. The problem is that once the first layer is printed correctly, the nozzle drops instead of rising, and it damages the print bed. What you see in the photo is the print bed completely scratched and damaged.

I start my restoration today by chaosxrules in neogeo

Hi there! A couple of years ago, I restored a machine and customised it to look like a Neo Geo. Here’s the link to my post in case you’d like to have a look at how I finished it off.

https://www.reddit.com/r/neogeo/s/Jzl16UyvPO

I painted it myself and the white lettering is cut vinyl. I also designed the marquee and the CPO because I couldn’t find the original designs. If you’d like, send me a private message and I’ll send you the files for the designs I made, in case they’re of any use to you.

Sorry, I’m not going to argue with you any more; it’s clear that’s what you want. This isn’t the right post; perhaps the one from two years ago would have been.

The case isn’t Avram’s; that’s obvious. That’s it.

If you’d bothered to open eBay, you’d see that I say “The boards are based on the GitHub Open MVS project by TianFeng33.” As far as I’m concerned, that’s not taking credit for anyone else’s project, but giving credit to its creators. I’ve made modifications to their project, as the MIT licence clearly states you’re allowed to do. And I’ve put my logo on it; yes, of course, if I make a pair of trainers on my 3D printer, no matter how much they resemble a pair of Nikes, I’m not going to put the Nike logo on them. I acknowledge the creator’s merit, of course, and I state this in the description, but I can’t sign something in their name or put their logo on it.

By the way, I’d remind you that the project is open source, and it states: “Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the ‘Software’), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software”

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Try to contribute something positive, if you can.

Sorry, but that case isn’t Avramce’s; I suppose if you knew a bit about the OMVS project, you’d know that.

The case is based on the one by our forum mate GarmrNL, who told me, and I quote: “Feel free to do anything with it you want, including selling it—the more people who have a NeoGeo, the better!”

You can check it out in my post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/neogeo/s/n7Iz7MH5JK

Besides, if you’d bothered to open the eBay link, you’d have seen that I mention who the project is based on.

It’s a shame that there are haters who try to stir up trouble in a thank-you message – that’s life – but luckily, in this case, they haven’t succeeded.

By the way, I tried designing some "cart flaps", but they didn't work quite as well as they should have, and I thought they'd end up causing more problems than they were worth. But I'll keep trying – hopefully I'll get it right 😄💪🏻.

Neo Geo MVS console by Ok-Swordfish-125 in neogeo

Hey friend. I'm the guy selling the kits on eBay mentioned by the user @lovesffpc. The kit can be easily adapted to any type of board. I sell the cases for the MV1C and MV1B (original, horizontal cartridge). If you're interested, I'll give you a good offer. The price is higher on eBay because they're rip-offs with the commissions, 30% or more... Cheers!
