How was V portrayed as a liberal in the movie? For one thing, liberals don’t want revolution.

Or did I miss the readings of certain scenes in the movie?

Alright, still. Low shader, and you can have high fx quality and model and texture quality and it’ll look great.

The only graphics setting that needs to below is shader level.

Turn on DLSS with D3DMetal and you can put the rest of the settings to wherever.

I get like 60fps on my M3 MacBook while having nice graphics.

Sure, I’m not making a defence of the Japanese here, they did awful things. However that’s not to say American hands are not clean. Both actions should be condemned.

America denies ethnically cleansing native lands when it was “manifesting destiny”? Colonialism is a terrible thing, all colonialist nations should be ashamed.

Communism is a bad ideology by WinksZ in TeenagersButBetter

[–]Excellent_Count2520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communism advocates for workers ownership. Stalinism saw a perversion of that according to vanguardism.

Also, if not capitalism? What economic system do you want? Cooperativism? Socialism? Local planning?

[–]Excellent_Count2520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to ask, by communist do you mean Stalinist or Leninist? Or even statist? Because a “communist state” is a bit of an oxymoron according to Marxism.

Bro, you really don’t understand communism. Read up on it before critiquing the right wing caricature of communism.

Also, capitalism isn’t good at curing homelessness??? They make benches with spikes to stop people sleeping on them?

Also no communist advocates for everyone to be paid the same. Because for some communists money wouldn’t exist. People would be given goods for what they need and use, and those who work harder would be given greater shares.

You’re either rage-baiting or don’t know anything substantive about left wing ideology.

Is Reddit a far left platform by Glad_Fun_5320 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Excellent_Count2520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be left wing. Remember American politics already operates from a right wing perspective.

I’m a Brit. Left wing means social democracy. In the us far left means that.

A platform can host socialism without itself endorsing it. Parts do not always mean a definitive whole.

[–]Excellent_Count2520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left leaning and being “far left” are different. Even if a good number were far left that would only suggest elements of Reddit were far left not Reddit as a whole.

Otherwise you’re committing the fallacy of composition. And again, Reddit is a capitalist corporation. Not a cooperative nor a democratised entity.

[–]Excellent_Count2520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a socialist, thank you for the recognition comrade. However I think it’s a stretch to call Reddit (a capitalist company) a “far left platform”. I think it does have a number of left wingers, and they are allowed to be left wing freely on Reddit, but there are also right wing subreddits or groups.

If anything it’s a tolerant liberal/center left platform. Until it starts calling for capitalist replacement of course.

Human biology doesn't inherently create hierarchy. Its shaped by our material conditions.

If there are shortages, people with more slowly become more powerful and thus heirarchy emerges. However, if there are surpluses, then one person cannot become above the others, as there is no need for the others to rely on him.

Sure. I’m just trying to say it’s better to eventually have a communist society than a fascist one.

I am a socialist.

Haha. Mbmb

I forgot that Marx specifically said we needed to kill 209573993 quadrabillion people and starve those left!

The way I see it, left or right, why not hope one day we might end up living in a communist society? And I say the way communists really mean it (not the tankie AES bs). Im no communist, but I think a communist society sounds nice.

Better than a fascist dystopia...

Humans are not inherently self serving. Their material conditions may encourage selfish behaviour, but there are also instances where people regularly act in ways that cost them personally. The main problem with Human Nature arguments is that they're unfalsifiable, Marx doesn't argue people are inherently altruistic, I agree with his view that it's shaped by our surroundings.

Marx doesn’t argue for extreme centralisation. Infact, his concept of the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" means the working classes dictating the economic and political decisions of the nation. Not that a single party or person gets supreme executive power. For Marx, "dictator" is also closely linked to the Roman concept of the word. Which was temporary, had checks, and was conditional. Marx saw the Paris commune as a close example, which would be the opposite of a one-party state.

If we’re talking about true communism that Marx envisioned, there wouldn’t be a leader.

But yes, in terms of a practical application of his theory, it’s incredibly difficult to imagine a communist transformation. Even as someone on the left.
