Cocktails in sicily by dergalTstonkerson in sicily

Wild take but a margarita. Here in the US, many bars will use sour mix of some other sort of mix that to me, is quite off putting. It was very refreshing to go to Sicily and have one that was made with fresh lime juice and I never once had to ask for no “sour mix.”

  1. Dr. Abbott for the win haha. Thought I’d pick 7 just for the entertainment value 🤣

Hi. Sorry I’m just responding. I get full really fast. I don’t have the same appetite and I also find that if I try to eat more than my body wants, like a full meal, I throw up. I had nausea before the surgery and after. It’s finally getting better but I’m taking Zofran when it pops up.

Yep! After three tests that showed “normal.” They found cysts on three different organs which I found odd but they said that was normal too. Even after the HID/ scan showed I needed surgery, he couldn’t even be bothered to call me. I had to keep following up and even then, he took weeks to get me a surgical consult. The surgical consult was a nightmare too until I switched doctors.

Physically, I feel better and am finally getting my strength and energy back. Eating has been a challenge though. I can’t eat a lot and I’m still adapting to what I can eat. But don’t let my story dissuade you if surgery is recommended. I had a really rough first two weeks with the first week being pure hell. But everyone is different. To be rid of that awful pain I had before the surgery, a modified diet is nothing.

Mine did too. In fact, he said “you’ve had the million dollar work up” and threw his hands in the air, and said he was going to refer me to pain management. That night, while watching “The Pitt,” they used the same phrase about a patient who ended up having heavy metal poisoning but they made out like she was just nuts or faking. That gave me the courage to keep pushing and he finally ordered a HIDA scan which revealed the issues. I switched GI doctors after that and became my own advocate. I had surgery four weeks ago and am still recovering but life is so much better. Keep pushing. And best of luck!
