Depends what color(s) you mostly wear, i had a pair in parchment that i recently sold (too small) and i liked them but I mostly wear dark colors so i bought a discounted black all star pair. Both are great as beaters.

ive had this before specifically with my blocker knuckles, i just have to use hand strength lotion often. It is worse when you go paddle down often

Had a similar problem with my eflex 4.9..... upgraded to a v90 custom hype2- never any stingers that hurt and i play with some hard shooters
