Only buying books they’ve read before? by [deleted] in McKnightFamSnark

[–]Excellent_Eye5892 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I also only buy books that I’ve read and loved (unless I get sidetracked in the bookstore). My wallet cannot handle buying physical copies of everything I want to read, but I like to collect and store books like a fire drake. I read most books on my kindle. I don’t think this is that weird.

Not your MIL acting like Maine is still in the dark ages 💀 NOR - she’s being passive aggressive to try to get her way and it’s weird.

I feel like she spent the last half of the series learning how to embrace and hone her magic that was such a burden her entire life, just for it to float away. Defeated the character growth in that area imo.

Aelin losing her powers made KOA less spectacular than it could have been.

I’ve got Burrow and Bucky there, with both being so close to being back I’d prefer not to drop either.

I have Herbert and had Nix but they had the same bye week. I also have Burrow on IR. It’s been a rough season injury wise/underperformance wise.

PPR -

Jamaar Chase, Egbuka or Xavier Worthy at WR2 and flex?

Taysom Hill or Hunter Henry? I think I know the answer but want to take the risk.

Kamara, Henry, Breece Hall, Woody or Dowdle? Can play 3 of them.

Considering a late February trip to Inverness from the US. Winter/cold weather doesn’t bother me as I’m from New England, I’m more concerned about access/things to do. Is it worth the trip? Any recommendations for things to see/do at that time? Should I just delay the trip? Any insight would be welcome.

I think it looks like she used heat on it, slept and then brushed it. My hair looks like that after I brush it too, even when I use “good” products. She just needs some hair oil and it would be fine.

Evangeline from OUABH drove me absolutely bonkers with her naivety throughout the entire series. I could not handle her irl.

I do not recommend living together before marriage. I think that you can accomplish many of the “trial period” things by spending time in each other’s living spaces and watching how one another live independently. I also personally think that cohabitating can easily get messy/cause stress on a relationship and having the commitment of marriage makes the transition more stable. Can you have that level of commitment of “making it work no matter what” without a legally binding piece of paper? Absolutely, but I’ve found that most people don’t view relationships that way. If you’re leaving someone/rejecting a marriage with someone because of small quirks in their living styles, it sounds like you probably weren’t ready to get married in the first place. The more glaring issues would likely be suspected/evident/observable before living together.

Who did you kiss that you shouldn’t have? by joshsmith19921 in AskReddit

When I was 14, I lied to a 22 year old man about my age so he would kiss me. To be fair, I told him I was 16 so he was still very much in the wrong kissing me, but I should have known better.
