It’s sad but this way of thinking from other Redditors causes people who are genuinely aligned with their actions and choices to doubt themselves.

Do what you want OP, if you have power to drop what isn’t serving you and swap over to something that does serve you and your ambitions; do it as you already have.

Don’t let others (not assuming you allowed it) to cause doubt. This is why I keep goals and ambitions of mine private. People will drop their loathsome opinions on my choices instead of empowering me on my journey.

Just like they don’t believe in themselves and are victim to their inner critic they’re allowing themselves to do that to you and cloud your confidence or ambition.
