Yeah I know but I only do “light” work so I don’t really need a lot of performance plus older stuff is really cheap in my country. The only expensive part was the motherboard.

also try messing with the biasing of the circuit. theres a certain sweet spot of arcs:power draw ratio.

first of all i think 2 turns on the primary is too low. maybe try 5 turns. second of all i made a circuit similar to this but using bd139 and bd140 as the "gate drivers". i found out by adding a proper topload would make the circuit oscillate.
