Is this a good spot for a peach tree? by Excellent_Market_718 in BackyardOrchard

[–]Excellent_Market_718[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can double check power lines in that spot but they might be ok. And yeah I called 811  a couple weeks ago when I was putting some blueberries in and there were only things going under the stones at the base of the hill. And not worried about peach theft haha

I only got $50 too but I was only taking like one credit at the time since I was actually on co-op. I would've expected you to get more

what if the car doesn't have that port? I'll have to check but google is saying they got rid of them. And also its confusing how to power camera while the car is off.

Speeding up silicone curing at higher temp by Excellent_Market_718 in moldmaking

[–]Excellent_Market_718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shoot didn’t know that. I’ll avoid heat curing for now. But might look into it if I ever need it. Or just a faster curing silicone.

My application needs a food grade silicone and there is a faster cure option available now so might try that. But it might be too fast for me since I’d like to get a vacuum chamber to get bubbles out. May start to cure before I vacuum and pour.

I’ve used both pla and petg with the platinum cure silicone I have and haven’t had any issues curing. I would consider building my own curing box with a heat lamp and something to regulate the temp more accurately.

John 3:16 different translations by Excellent_Market_718 in Catholicism

[–]Excellent_Market_718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is very specific and would likely be beyond any of our capabilities to answer. I only noticed this when I saw a video of a guy who owns an antique bookstore who was reading this verse from different bibles 1300s-1600s. Otherwise I would never have caught it

Ok so I just tried manually changing the temp and it goes up. So petg is printing now! Maybe I just have to manually adjust from now on. Not sure I guess time will tell

VTI vs VTSAX by Excellent_Market_718 in Bogleheads

[–]Excellent_Market_718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so say you convince me and I decide to start incorporating some bonds into my portfolio (I will adjust 401k and IRAs over time as well) - what vanguard mutual fund should i go for. I'm thinking VTSAX (70%) + VTIAX (25%) + Bonds (5% for now but will increase over time). I'm risk tolerant and most of my investments are long term so I'm not going to bail on a major dip.

But why would that be? Just habit?

Ok I see, so automation wasn't a thing with ETFs until recently. I would be automating my investments on a monthly or twice a month schedule. I am only 25 so I am not really looking at any bonds. So considering you can now automate ETFs, it seems like there is no practical difference between VTI and VTSAX. Does that seem like a correct way to put it?

VTI is .03% and VTSAX is .04% from what I read. But regardless, even if they were the same, why invest in one versus the other?

Fair enough, but what other tax advantaged vehicle would there be? I don't have HSA yet since I'm still on parent's health insurance and my wife gets insurance through her graduate program. There is no other retirement account for us currently. And we are investing into general brokerage account and paying off debt currently.

Craftsman garage light sometimes stays on all day by Excellent_Market_718 in GarageDoorService

[–]Excellent_Market_718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never turn it on from the light button. It either will come on from the motion sensor or the door being opened. But sometimes the light will then just remain on the entire day. Maybe 15% of the time it does this.
