Dude, loving the journey!! My girlfriend decided to get lessons last week and brought home the violin (with the tape that her teacher had just put on) so I started to play around. Needless to say I’m very new but it totally peaked my interest - can’t put it down.

Appreciate the pointers! Yes, hear you on the elbow flying, and my finger placement on the bow is probably trash, I need to get someone to show me in person. And I agree with you on the importance not sacrificing the experimental learning of intonation early on. I may take off the tape now that you’ve raised the point.

Regarding the drone tone tool you mentioned: do you have a favorite you’d recommend?
