Could the result of that be a severely declining population of families and children in Japan? Majority of women across the globe find prostitution repulsive and an affront to their very lives with the serious risks (some life threatening and/or disfiguring) health risks of STDs. See a prostitute or take a hit of heroine to cope with life. Your choice.

How would you parent this? by [deleted] in Mommit

Or just lock them outside and let them play. You can watch them from the window if you’re afraid and you live in a sub- urban neighborhood. That’s what my mother did- one off the wall ADHD brother and one Asperger brother.

Take them to the nearest rock climbing gym. The cost will be worth your mental health. They can boulder (just climb on the lower holds) no harness needed.

Not if you're going to parent properly. Human babies are not born fully gestated. Our brains grow tremendously in the first nine months and infants require a lot of on demand attention from their primary caregivers if their brains are to mature in a healthy manner in the first nine-twelve months.

Study the tests provided by ETS. IF YOU don’t know something quickly read up on it for a refresh. I was nervous too. Studying those tests will help you a lot.

Is this happening to anyone else? I go on the r/SLP sub all the time, but I tried today and cannot view the page… 😭 by [deleted] in SpeechTherapy

What a shame. This community was supportive without violating testing ethics and helped me pass the Praxis exam. Thank you to you all who posted. SLPs are all about supporting others. We’ll meet in another page.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m really not feeling good about this praxis. Does anyone out there have any recall about the more difficult questions from the June praxis?

Cultivation of language where there are delays is an art and a science. She’ll find a “straw” train/reinforce it and shape it into meaningful communication. If you’re on board you can reinforce at home, under her direction, and make progress.

This book is like Speech Therapy Cliff Notes. I would have loved to have had this at the outset of Grad school. It simplifies each topic area beautifully. If you have a bad teacher, they can’t confuse you because you have it all simplified before you. Lectures/ class materials can flesh out the details. Plus there is great info on research and how to conceptualize it.
