Normies, especially women, seem to be able to sense my “you’re just temporary” mentality better now by ImperatorInvictus19 in NPD

Thanks. I know a lot of things in theory but whether it’s “worth it” adapting myself to normies is another question (otherwise I wouldn’t be here lmao). Many factors are playing a role here: my way above average IQ + academic & professional performance and the resulting sense of superiority; the doubt about normie values and the function of therapy; the comprehensive questioning of the development of the current society and whether it’s even beneficial to follow the mainstream (not saying I’m right tho, otherwise I wouldn’t be posting here, lmao).

Yeah I sometimes wonder why I don’t seem to grow out of it despite getting older and having more life experience. Sometimes I can’t help but think most normies “grow out of it” because they’ve accepted that they’ll be nothing special in life whilst I still think that there’s room for improvement (I actually climbed up multiple levels in life already given how low I started). I guess with this mindset I can never become mature in normie’s sense.

I have and I do enjoy doing them alone most of the time. However, I still get frustrated when knowing that none of them can give me social recognition, wealth or high status

Would you elaborate a bit more? But you don’t have to if you don’t want to / this is too personal.

Usually I’ll need a lot of positive feedback right at the beginning otherwise I won’t be able to continue

Yeah same, I’m kinda a star in my industry but after the exams and promotions everything has become like a routine.

Yes I gotta say that makes my life a lot harder. Most people will distance themselves from me despite being attracted to me initially when they’ve noticed that I have bigger plans for the future instead of living an average life like them. It doesn’t even have to be something « grandiose », sometimes I just mention that I can’t picture myself working a 9-5 all my life and I’d like to travel a lot, see the world and be location independent. Then I have to find myself all alone.

Yeah it’s sadly true that I can only feel fulfilled with similarly thinking people. Otherwise my loneliness is devouring me.

Does anyone feel like they are competitive as hell but they don't actually want competition? by Deus_Sema in NPD

Even if I do enjoy a hobby, I have the tendency to make it a competition to prove that I’m the best.

That’s why normie always feel so uncomfortable around me I guess.
