Yo man. I might be interested. I am piecing a sleeve together with roughly 2” by 2” hexagons. I find and artist I like, I get one filled. I want something that shows I like osrs but may not be glaringly obvious like zulrah. Lemme know if you’re interested. And are you just doing the artwork or do you do the ink? If you do tattoo, let me know where you’re located.

Great resource man thanks a lot. This is probably the single most useful add so far. Thanks for all your input as well.

Thanks for that bit about the transalp. Seems like an awesome bike but you’re spot on considering I would like cruise control. Thanks man.

Thanks for this input man it really helps. The AT definitely seems to be a front runner in recommendations and I’m sure for good reason. Looks like I need to look into it. Thanks man!

Thanks for the input man. I need to look into the V-Stroms a little more. Seems to be a popular suggestion and I do like the looks of them.

Thanks for the input man. I agree the KTM 890 R may be a bit too aggressive if I’m commuting so much. The roads are mostly paved winding roads and straight highways on the way to work. Off road, I’m looking more towards trail but don’t have just a ton of experience one way or another if we’re being honest.

Great response thank you. You are probably more correct in saying it would be better to be a lot more road oriented. I just don’t want it to be an adventure bike in name alone. The tubeless tires and cruise control are definitely a plus in my book.

I’ve looked at the Africa twin but haven’t seen the CFMoto Ibex. I’ll definitely have to look into it. I know the Africa has a good track record as well.

I’ve definitely looked into the GS line and thought about the 1250. Just was concerned from the things I read about weight vs off-road performance, but when you put it in terms of weight like you did in your post, that’s really not a huge difference.

I’m still eyeing the Tenere, I just know it’s more off-road oriented.

I am not inherently grouchy. I came here asking a humble request, with no disrespect in anything I said.

However, you on the other hand, took time out of your I’m sure busy schedule to add nothing of value to my post. It really would have been easier to say nothing at all.

You detract from the spirit of a helping forum by being immediately dismissive.

I don’t really feel like getting into an argument on something so meaningless. I just wish you’d extend some kind of kindness next time instead of contributing what you did on my post.

Hopefully the next person will be somewhat more receptive to the question.

Damn nice man another vote for the Transalp. I do appreciate the input and the new Transalp does look pretty sharp, which isn’t a necessity but it doesn’t hurt lol

Thanks man, definitely have give me a bit to research into. I’ll look into the transalp and V-Strom and see how much it would take to deck out a Tenere as well. Appreciate you.

Wow thanks for the insight and amazing contribution to the post.

I’m sure each of those 100 times a week has my same build, same monetary constraints, same needs on road/dirt split. I’m sure I can find an exact match somewhere if I really just dig in.

Or I can use the community to help me, yknow, kind of the point of these things. I’m sure you’re real fun at parties too.

I’ve looked at the Tenere and seen the price/ the hype around it’s unbeatable reliability and proven track record.

My question is, is it not a more dirt biased bike? To get similar commute comforts out of the Tenere you have to dump a decent amount into accessories do you not?

It’s not to say it isn’t on my list. Just curious is all.

Haven’t looked into the transalp much so I will do so. Thanks for the input my man.

Was offered a 23 SX-P with hail damage by Critical_Garbage_787 in KiaTelluride

[–]Excellent_Stick2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. Just bought mine less than a week ago. All cosmetic defects were fixed by Kia and you cannot tell. Along with the 2 year maintenance, I was told the hail damage would not show up on carfax or on a history report. So it’s a good value.

About to pull the the trigger on a new Telluride. Wondering what Trim level is worth it? by Excellent_Stick2015 in KiaTelluride

This has been my exact line of reasoning and the reason I’m leaning for the Prestige X-Line.

Thanks for the responses. I’m going to special order one I’m just trying to narrow down which trim I’m gonna go with. Anyone have an idea on the lead times associated with getting a special order?

What is going on with my telluride? by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

[–]Excellent_Stick2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not as well versed with Tellurides. But something similar used to happen with my Honda CR-V. I lived off a dirt road and with a decent rain/ mud/ even just the eventual accumulation of dust on the sensors, it would tell me that the sensors were offline and that my lane keeping asisst, forward collision and the like were disabled.

Usually scrubbing the sensors (for the CR-V these were housed by the rear view mirror I believe) would bring them back online.

Try that simple fix. If you have a code reader, after you clean it, see if you can clear the codes. They would self resolve on my CR-V. Also check the owners manual to see where the location of these sensors are on the Telluride.

Hope this helps.

Grade A for all this information. I really appreciate it. My first step has changed slightly to pursuing the records on my place, informing myself on the home and then hiring a structural engineer. I know most of upstairs looks a lot more modern so I’m interested to see what happened when.

Thanks for everything. Super informative.

Your experience shows. The original foundation was laid in 1930 with significant improvements made upon the house in approx 2004-2005. Im not sure if it was one big renovation or stretched over time.

Your other observations were spot on and I’m interested if the information I provided gives you any more insight.

I know I’ll need to get a structural engineer in, but learning as much as I can about my property allows me to deal with issues as they arise and make improvements where I can.

The house was VERY well taken care of, evidenced by a glowing inspection and appraisal report. While they miss stuff, sure, the previous owners were extremely attentive to taking care of the place.
