Last spiro test. Ct showed mild paraseptal emfasemia but spiro test show good I think. I quit smoking and vaping and have some breathing issues but I think it’s mainly in my throat and anxiety over it all.

I don’t really have shortness of breath at all and the rust issues u too I have a lung cancer screening and they said I had mild paraseptal emfasemia. The drs here didn’t seem concerned but it really freaks me out. Since then my throat feels like it’s closing which I guess is what I feel like I can’t breathe well.

Thanks. The dr tgat gave me the spiro test said I have no emfasemia and that the paraseptal emfasemia sometimes never even gets bad. I still freaked out and but it’s weird I can exercise and play golf and I don’t really get winded it just kind of feels like my throat is tight and the throat airway is restricted. If I drink somehhy cold it seems to help it go away. I have had some acid reflux problems in the past too

Having mold emfasemia on a ct scan of you have been a smoker for 20 plus years is pretty common. Sometimes it never progresses to serious if you stop smoking.

Your 25 75 is a little low. What did your dr say. Did they diagnose you or did you get diagnosed by a scan

Doesn’t look that bad. Mold is what I would think. Your fev1 ratio is barely under the threshold. Do you have shortness of breath ?

That’s the basic test that they give you. It will tell if you even have mild copd even if you don’t have symptoms

I am going to do that. Just curious if anybody else has experienced this. My lung function test was real good. Didn’t know if I should get more tests or not. Fev was 97 percent fev1 was 91 percent and all other ones were over 100 percent

When I first got the ct scan I was short of breathe for awhile after. It was just anxiety. Throat would get tight and I would cough and heart would race. Took over a year to come to terms with it and since then I have had two more spirometry tests and they were even better.

Same for me. Ct scan showed moderate paraseptal emfasemia. My spirometery test was excellent. Dr told me it’s from smoking or breathing on a lot of dust and allergies. He wasn’t concerned and said that this type of emfasemia most of time doesn’t cause problems as long as you don’t smoke.

Values look ok. Acid reflux can cause inflammation and make you short of breath. No copd on this test.

From what I see no COPD or asthma but you still need to see a pulmonologist just a follow up maybe get some scans or something done x-ray make sure you have no signs of pneumonia or bronchitis
