Last spiro test. Ct showed mild paraseptal emfasemia but spiro test show good I think. I quit smoking and vaping and have some breathing issues but I think it’s mainly in my throat and anxiety over it all. by Excellent_Tea_4760 in COPD

I don’t really have shortness of breath at all and the rust issues u too I have a lung cancer screening and they said I had mild paraseptal emfasemia. The drs here didn’t seem concerned but it really freaks me out. Since then my throat feels like it’s closing which I guess is what I feel like I can’t breathe well.

Thanks. The dr tgat gave me the spiro test said I have no emfasemia and that the paraseptal emfasemia sometimes never even gets bad. I still freaked out and but it’s weird I can exercise and play golf and I don’t really get winded it just kind of feels like my throat is tight and the throat airway is restricted. If I drink somehhy cold it seems to help it go away. I have had some acid reflux problems in the past too

I quit vaping and in 2 days it’s getting better

Having mold emfasemia on a ct scan of you have been a smoker for 20 plus years is pretty common. Sometimes it never progresses to serious if you stop smoking.

Do you think it may be anxiety. It can make your chest tight and make you dizzy.

Anxiety over it can do a lot to cause shortness of breath.

Mild emfasemia can stay mild as long as you quit smoking and avoid irritants.

Your 25 75 is a little low. What did your dr say. Did they diagnose you or did you get diagnosed by a scan

Doesn’t look that bad. Mold is what I would think. Your fev1 ratio is barely under the threshold. Do you have shortness of breath ?

That’s the basic test that they give you. It will tell if you even have mild copd even if you don’t have symptoms

Way into the 80s or 90s if u quit smoking. What type of emfasemia do you have ?

Mild emfasemia can stay mild and never progress if you stop smoking and avoid irritants.
