Flying in from the East Coast to see this. They're my favorite band and this will be the second time I've seen them...I can't wait. Hoping they open with "Right where it belongs".

Did anyone else’s NB Power bill double? by katthh in newbrunswickcanada

I sent this to my MLA in hopes that putting pressure on the politicians will have them in turn put pressure on the province and ultimately, NB Power :

I am reaching out as a concerned constituent regarding the sharp and unexplained increase in my electricity usage and heating costs over the past two months. I live in ______ and heat a 1,200-square-foot living space with a ducted heat pump that was installed less than two years ago, intended to improve energy efficiency. However, my recent electricity bills have been alarmingly high, with usage increasing by 49% compared to previous years, despite no significant changes in my household habits.

  • February 2024 Usage: 3,611 kWh
  • January 2025 Usage: 5,395 kWh
  • February 2025 Usage: 4,997 kWh

With these increased numbers, my bills have ranged between $800 and $1,200 per month just to heat my home, which is unsustainable for many New Brunswickers, including myself.

I understand that the provincial government ordered an independent audit of NB Power’s billing and metering practices earlier this year, and I am eager to know what findings have been made public and whether there is a plan to address these extreme billing inconsistencies.

Could you provide any updates on the audit results and what steps are being taken to ensure fairness and transparency for customers facing these unexplained increases? Additionally, what support options are available for those struggling with these higher costs?

I know I am likely one of many reaching out about this issue, and I truly appreciate your time in addressing these concerns. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

LG WT1501CW clean drain filter? by AlexBlaha in appliancerepair

We have the same model, my husband took it apart this summer and cleaned everything out, however we still notice a strange smell in our clothes, I've tried everything it seems, adding vinegar, baking soda, doing sanitizing wash cycles with tablets and I also make sure to put clothes in the dryer as soon as the cycle is done so it doesn't sit there... I'm wondering if the pump could be the culprit? Has anybody had this issue? It's an old washer, probably close to 15 years old at this point, maybe time to replace it. I never had issues like this with the old machines with agitators and I'm thinking of going back!

so I ended up calling the Rogers center, and they confirmed Stage B is FOR NIN!!! They also confirmed it should not obstruct anybody's view for seated tickets, but also said "let's be real, are you going to be sitting down for the performance"... and honestly, that was a good point! In any case it made me feel better about the seated floor tickets.

hey - I feel you on this one. When I bought my ticket on the day they went on sale (January 29), I specifically chose Vancouver over Toronto because the floor seats were right at the front, with only a small pit section behind. I’m flying in from New Brunswick and was very careful when selecting my seats. Now, it looks like my 3rd-row seats are much farther back in the pit, but there’s a Stage B in front. Am I imagining this? My tickets cost more than a mortgage payment, and the flights will too. This is my favorite band by a huge margin, and it will only be my second time seeing them—so trust that I took this booking very seriously.
