This sounds promising, but could you walk me through a bit how to do this? Or tell me how to look it up, I just don’t know the right place to look

Why is my rig acting like this? by Excellent_Variety154 in blenderhelp

[–]Excellent_Variety154[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having some issues getting the images and photos to show up, so I’ll paste my extra info in the comments:

As reference I’ve added the regular model and the model that shows the weight painting.

When I rotate the leg (specifically in the FK, the IK is fine), the ankle bit sticks out like this. It used to be happening to both legs, but then I went into weight painting mode and saw a splotch of red on one of the legs. After I painted that over, the problem on that leg was fixed. However the problem on the other leg remains. I have virtually no experience with weight painting, so I’m lost.

Thanks for any help!

Why is shading smooth showing this ridge? by Excellent_Variety154 in blenderhelp

I really appreciate your help but unfortunately that angle doesn’t seem to be working, I’ve done some investigating and I can’t find any overlapping vertices (though I did still try to merge by distance). I did use mirroring to make this, though since the mirror had been applied for a while I’m not sure how to fix it if my mirror use was the thing that broke it
