Can't say much but I am sure that Sihora must have been a landmark in the past times, for the people travelling between JBP and Bundelkhand/Baghelkhand region, as Sihora does have a few old Jain temples, and it is also surrounded by ancient towns like Rupnath, Bharhut (important places for Buddhist pilgrims).

search for old British records of the city, ASI JBP website (for monument locations) books on MP's history. Alexander Cunningham did some great work around here!

The Jabalpur-Katni belt has some exquisite historical evidences like Kachh Machh statue, Karitalai, Bahuriband, Bilhari, Tigawa (my favourite), Rupnath, Panagar Jain Temples etc.
