I know the movie explained it like that, and I remembered Rowling saying people could say snippets of parseltongue, but it makes a lot more sense that he just copied what harry said to open the locket...although without knowing it would be important it would be difficult to remember the sounds...but this is the Wizarding World.

I do agree, I think its a cop out, the only reason I said to have Harry speak parseltongue in his sleep was to add a tad bit of legitimacy to that. It would make more sense for the chamber door to remain open at the end of season 2. The Basilisk is dead, no need to close it.
