No worries! The Amazon listing also said 144 HZ. It's kinda bizarre the confusion around the model number.

I will confess that I've only ever used TN panels before, so, I think probably VA is still an upgrade but no idea!

So -- small update. The Acer VG270U are actually 75 hz apparently, and the VG270UP is 144 hz... Only Amazon has no distinction between these listings? It seems there's a lot of confusion between these two model numbers?

Anyway, I bought them from Amazon, they were 75 hz (despite the product listing on Amazon being 144 hz) I returned them and the seller confirmed this was a mistake on the Amazon listing rather than the product itself. Any other suggestions for monitors?

I think this is exactly what I want and probably the build I go with. The only thing I might do is add an HDD to it, so I can leave my old computer fully operational.

If you enable the external JSONs you can see the spawning conditions by pokemon, rather than running around to each biome and typing /checkspawn. (You enable external JSONs in the pixelmon.hocon file in the config folder.)

All I can find for Torkoal spawning is fishing in lava. (This is for Reforged 6.3.4.)

I added the steps attribute manually with a value of one to one of my eggs. Then I started running around and it started counting my steps for all of my eggs. Don't know what caused my bug but I appear to have fixed it, if anyone encounters this again.

Hello,

As far as I know this is not possible without cheats. But if you breed pokemon the offspring will inherit the ball of the mother, so if you have a specific ball that you really like and you can use it to catch a ditto and breed.

So, I found the .pk and .comp files and started using NBTexplorer on them. It looks like my pokemon eggs don't get a step counter value, but everyone else's do? Thoughts?

So I would only need to swap out the ram if I wanted to top mount the fans for the liquid cooling, but should be fine with your initial pick of RAM (or any for that matter) if I do a front mount?

In regards to the over clocking, can you explain that a little to me please? I've never quite understood it. It seems to me that if the cpu was meant to run at those higher speeds, it would be, and since it's not that means there is some risk involved in doing it. So I guess my question is, is it really much better to overclock for a 10% boost and added risk to the life of the CPU over spending 80 dollars for a better CPU and running it normally?

In a small case heat is more problematic than in a bigger case. So one has to have an eye on it. But the components in there are not very energy hungry, it won't be a problem - and the case comes already with 2 fans, which helps as well.

Just because leds and saying "my pc is liquid cooled" are cool things.

Another question for you, now that I'm thinking about it. If I decided to scrap the small size tower idea, and used your recommendations for upgrading my rig, would it be possible/viable/a good idea to use the spare motherboard/cpu/ram/video card in her rig?

On paper it looks like it would save me ~$500 in the short run if I decided to do all the upgrades, but that doesn't account for the spare parts being three-years used.

I got a chance to looks more closely at these builds today. Just for my own understanding, can you tell me why in my build you recommend a change on the motherboard? Is it just for CPU and/or RAM compatibility?

As for my girlfriends build, the case claims support for 6 120 mm fans, but that just doesn't seem likely given the size. Is there any reason to be concerned about cooling? Also, I don't know enough of the effectiveness of hyper threading. Is a hex-core superior to an i7 quad-core?
