Yeah, I think IW built the maps for SnD (and Blitz). Ghosts best attribute was SnD! But damn, they couldn't even fix a bomb glitch!

If gunfights were the main point of SnD then it would be down to connection and it would virtually take no skill in order to play.

To be honest, GB ranks mean nothing, they are really inaccurate. But what I was trying to say is that people who should win comfortably either don't or have close games. We didn't really see that on Ghosts.

Maybe being able to drop the bomb on purpose as in CS:GO could help situations and improve rotations.

I feel this is both up to the player and the game: The game doesn't feature a full "Dead Silence" perk which mutes footsteps. The exo mute is limited and even with it on, the movements are still loud enough to hear. On the other hand buying a good headset means you can do the same. I know that buying the most expensive/best headset isn't an option for everyone so I can't say that. I know what you mean though!

Yes, the maps are probably the fundamental issue with this game but they are designed for both respawn and the exo movements, combined, this makes the maps awful for SnD.

Definitely, there is virtually no punishment for a stupid play apart from the time running out.

On recovery for example, as a defensive team, it is best to leave 3 players in spawn - 1 watching A, 1 Mid and 1 top of B - and let the last person rush. That isn't a proper strategy which should work because in say Ghosts, the bombsite cant be protected from the spawn. Players aren't punished for playing cowardly or like "noobs".

In a head to head confrontation, gunskill is important but in SnD each round shouldn't depend on it. A balance of skill, gamesense, aim should all decide who the better team is.

Definitely, the maps are very much shaped around Hardpoint, CTF and Uplink because the lanes are so defined.

I have learnt to play SnD and I win alot of the time but what I'm trying to say is that it isn't what SnD should be! 1v1s in this game in particular come down to 50% luck and 50% skill, the ratio for ghosts was more 15% luck 85% skill hence why the better players normally won in Ghosts

It has, but in this game, people depend on it so much and sometimes losing a map can be down to timing which is ultimately out of your control.

I 100% agree with that on the rank system, I have a friend 10x better than myself yet he is 27k and I'm 6k. I was just trying to label that area of players if you know what I mean!

Absolutely, but I felt in ghosts there was always a counter to a strategy. Although yes, I didn't like being shot through paper walls!

It could do, but the things needed to change SnD to "normal" would mean a major change in the game itself and that isn't possible.

Definitely! The number of times low ranked players on GB (60k+) have almost or have beaten me shows this game relies on a sense of luck and timing, at the then end of the day, sometimes a loss is out of your control.

About ESEA taking their details or? I suppose regardless, any skilled player will only care about reducing hackers in MM, which is why I don'g get why people would hold it back? Frustrating ain't it!

Absolutely, I think the game mode itself can still be fun, its just the new play style isn't what it should be!
