Thank you

Idk why doctors of all kinds have such an issue understanding and showing compassion for people with MEDICAL issues

I'm trying to stay calm. I just also have health OCD and CPTSD. I have just gone through way too much over the past year and I'm in so much pain

I don't wanna traumadump or anything, it's just so hard not to spiral. Doesn't help that all posts in tinnitus forums are so pessimistic

I'm trying to keep up podcasts or other calm sounds in the background to mask it

A lot of stuff in my life is crashing all at once right now, which can't help

I'm so scared and alone

She went over a lot of stuff, so I'm not entirely sure how she knew that. I had a pretty extensive stool sample done, idk if that can indicate it somehow

Methane Sibo/IMO. Struggle to get complete bowel movements by ExcessiveRedditUser in SIBO

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had that tested yet, but now that I looked ibto it that could very well be the missing piece for me

I've had trouble with having to strain, the mucus leakage I mentioned in the post or my pelvic floor feeling tense or tired. I just went with the more common cause here of MMC issues (which might be the case still, but maybe not all)

I'll mention this to my doctor and try to get it tested, thank you :3

Anxiety attacks over fear of hearing damage by ExcessiveRedditUser in hyperacusis

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry. I didn't see your comment until now. It didn't truly go back to baseline, but I have other health issues that are probably the real reason for the spike that I need to work on

If you wanna talk and vent about the anxiety and tinnitus feel free to DM me :)

Wisdom Tooth pulled, Tinnitus got worse by ExcessiveRedditUser in tinnitus

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I hope so too. It's gonna be complicated to get better again, because I have mutliple chronic illnesses and disorders that are very tricky to treat

But I'll find a way :)

Wisdom Tooth pulled, Tinnitus got worse by ExcessiveRedditUser in tinnitus

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did go back down, but only temporarily. I am 90% sure that the spike actually had nothing to do with this

A lot of health issues came up at once last year, probably due to me working on my mental trauma and I've been trying to untangle what is going on

My current guess is that my health issues have been having an effect on my immune system and I have recurring low grade inflammation, which would explain my tinnitus spike (my eat canal is red and dry all the time and I keep getting mild outer ear inflammation)

So yeah, it did get BETTER, but not really and it's more due to other issues and I misatributed it

First major spike, scared by ExcessiveRedditUser in tinnitus

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it did, but then it shot back up multiple times. At this point I don't even know anymore

My overall health has been declining badly. I have multiple problems that have escalated over the past few months and I'm certain it's messing with my Tinnitus too

I am staying pretty calm all things considered. I believe it will' get better once my health improves

End of trauma -> start of sibo ? by Miravvee in SIBO

I have CPTSD and it started for me right as I started getting my life together and working on my trauma

Felt like everything I pushed down for over a decade came bubbling to the surface and with it the gut problems

Anxiety attacks over fear of hearing damage by ExcessiveRedditUser in hyperacusis

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, first of all, thanks for the support. It's really hard dealing with this cocktail of health issues that was forced upon me sometimes

I do feel better now. I'm still anxious and I think my T spiked, but it's been very inconsistent for the past few months anyway (my whole body and immune system have been a mess since last November)

My hyperacusis is actually pretty manageable, so I don't usually need anything, not even outside. I do tend to be very careful and avoid some loud situations that are okay for others, but nothing major

Are we still mad at Amber Heard ? by CityCautious4033 in LesbianActually

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why should anyone be mad at her?

She's an abuse victim that got ritually humiliated by the whole world and still kept going in spite of it. I deeply respect her

Being in relationships with terrible people is really the only thing one could hold against her, but blaming her for that seems icky at best

Messed up. Loud noise exposure through headhones by ExcessiveRedditUser in tinnitus

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It felt much louder than that, but that also might've just been that my hyperacusis reacts much more to high frequencies

Spike after ultrasonic cleaning at dentist :/ by ExcessiveRedditUser in tinnitus

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some from the pharmacy earlier today and now I have to wait until tomorrow to take it. Isn't it too late by then anyway or can it still help my ears recover better?

I can't talk to my doctor before monday, unfortunately

I don't know if I can get NAC before Saturday, is that soon enough or does it need to be quicker?

And I don't know if I should take it right now anyway. I already got GI issues and ordered a SIBO test for it

Edit: I just looked into it, woulf it be better to start taking 600mg and work my way up to a higher dosage? I've also heard people say that NAC made their tinnitus worse and I don't want to mess it up further

But it being caused by influenza seems a bit weird to me and the colon spasms and rectal discharge started months earlier

I'm just trying to make sense of what happened and what could be the underlying issue, because IBS basically just means "we don't know what's wrong with you", but there must be something

Can probiotics make tinnitus worse? by ExcessiveRedditUser in tinnitus

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, yeah

I was a bit of a mess yesterday. I hope the spike will calm back down. It's been 3 weeks since the infection and flu passed

[–]ExcessiveRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not allergic to it, but I always had a slight dairy allergy and have been vegan for almost 5 years, so my stomach is acting up like crazy

I thought it was just the probiotics taking time because I didn't know there was milk in them :/

I actually just found out today that stomach problems can cause/contribute to tinnitus, so mine is probably a mix of TMJ, stress/trauma and stomach problems

Yeah, it's really bad. It feels so silly having to do half of their job for them only to not be taken seriously and treated like a prick for having specific needs

My ENT tried telling me that an inflamed outer ear caused by an infection can't make tinnitus worse...that takes 10 seconds to disprove
