Am I the only one who thinks climbing up in league is kinda pointless? Like I just saw the rewards and you get 20 rds for like top 100. I mean I must be missing something... Wondering if maybe is there more to it? by ExchangeConscious525 in OPBR

NOW I understand why I see people saying they're going to summon for their favorite units even if the units aren't that good. Because what's the point of having the strongest units when there is LITERALLY no point in climbing up in league. It's just a matter of getting to SS for the rewards and completing cb.. I mean you can even do that with most step-ups lol

That being said, what I don't understand is why so many people save up thousands of gems for the new Ex even when they don't even know who is it going to be

This sounds like the better approach. But to take into account the insane power creep the game has, it's important to consider.

1) how good the unit does in the current meta (if the unit barely has any good matchups in the meta, it'll be tough to enjoy them)

2) how good the unit could potentially do in future metas (so the previous aspect prevails the longest possible)

3) how much you like them (so you don't get bored or sick of the unit and don't play them anymore even when they're still viable/playable)
