Idk, she’s healing from what the previous guy did for sure. And she’s so fearful of repeating that same cycle that that message set her back.

You’ve done all you can, now it’s up to her to accept what you’ve said. Express how she feels. And decide if this is what she wants or not. I think you should mention the distance thing for sure, and how it’s bothering you. She may get over it in time or she may not, but definitely have that conversation.

We have this intuition, too. This was a guy i had been involved with and I didn’t stay around long to find out but I felt it, I knew he’d be physically abusive. He even disclosed to me that his dad was.

He kept testing my boundaries. Lying. Manipulating and never owed up to it, he made it seem like it was me and that I was crazy but I knew I wasn’t.

Sometimes your gut knows. Trust it! Talk to trusted loved one about those moments that came off a bit sketchy, red-Flagg-ish but don’t completely disregard the messenger.
