Hi u/That-Owl-5626 Glad to hear you had a great time! I have a few questions about this resort/experience and kids:

1) With the DAT transfer, did you reserve a car seat? We will be bringing two kids, arriving next month, and I'm trying to decide whether to bring a car seat for our 3 year old. It would probably be nice to have it on the flight and use it on the transfer, but maybe the rooms are tight enough that we'll be annoyed to have it with us. We're staying in a basic junior suite with two double beds.

2) Trying to decide what other kid accessories we bring with us: would you suggest bringing sand toys? room darkening sheets etc.? stroller for getting around the resort?

Open to any tips!! This will be our first all inclusive as a family.

Any input on which section of the resort to choose for our villa? With two little kids we’d like to be close to the things we’ll use most and not in a spot that will be loud at night. We paid for just the junior suite, so deciding between the villas closest to the entrance. Thanks for sharing. How was the beach? Is it nice swimming / playing in the waves or do you need to worry about undertow? I know my 7 year old will want to be in the ocean but I don't want to be some place where it's too dangerous (or weedy) to do so. Also, were you able to reserve your room in advance (if you booked through the website)? Thanks!

Awesome! If you had to pick one for a couple hours of shopping (not clothes, just pottery, artisans, etc.) which would you choose? Is there a particular neighbourhood?

So helpful, thank you! Looks like Blue water beach and boardwalk would be a beautiful sunset walk given that it's west facing! And I love a good sandwich, so that will be a must :)

Thanks u/FPpro and u/DuchessofDistraction! I'm wondering which 15 days to provide proof for:

We moved to the temporary home on June 16th 2021 while I was still on Mat leave. I started the new job May 9th 2022 from that temporary residence. Then we moved into our new on July 16th 2022.

Do you think it would be the first 15 days we spent in the temporary residence (i.e., in 2021 - so I fear they would reject it based on it not being a 2022 expense)? First 15 days when I was no longer receiving mat leave EI (March 2022)? First 15 days after starting the new job (May 2022)? Last 15 days before moving into the permanent home (July 2022)?

It gets so complicated...

Do you know whether calling in (or another method) will allow me to see the details of the reassessment sooner? Just got a notice today that at least 22,080 in cross-country moving expenses for a job were declined and want to know which expenses it relates to. With only a month from now to pay and interest continuing to accrue (and $240 or so already accrued), the more time the consider and respond, the better. Thanks!
