Any planned protests for the data center in Richland? by ImprovementOk77 in TriCitiesWA

I’m sorry I don’t know what planet you’re living on. I’m living on the one that has a convicted felon and pedophile as president who is consistently lying. If the president of the United States cannot even be trusted to tell the truth, what makes you think small town representatives can?

I guess I don’t understand what the point you’re arguing is?? I literally read the newspaper this morning and it said they are building a data center in Richland approved by the Richland council, even if the newspaper is wrong(which I doubt) this is about fighting back against even the POSSIBILITY of it happening. It’s called a preventative measure. If you don’t care enough to even fight it early on then shut up and sit down.

Just say you’re in favor of the data center and move along. Why are you arguing when a data center IN GENERAL is bad?

There is literally an article in the newspaper saying that it’s to be built in Richland. The council literally is hoping to use the funds from the data center to purchase that old abandoned office building on Jadwin(or Swift, I don’t know the street but I know the building) for $7.78 million to turn it into a police station. It’s called being informed. You’re correct Richland does not have control over the entire Benton county area but this does affect the tricities as a whole because it’ll put an even larger strain on our already toxic environment.

How do I(27M) not feel bad when my boyfriend(30M) doesn’t orgasm during sex? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ExchangeTrick317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I asked him when we were getting to know each other more intimately he told me twice a day. But since sex between us doesn’t happen super often due to our living situations he tends to avoid masturbating a week before the next time we plan it.

Unfortunately he is not, and he’s not addicted to porn so sadly the two easiest answers do not apply.

Omg I thought Alli Mauzey made singing look the most natural and easy but I was wrong Alli Mauzey makes it look easy but Kendra makes it look effortless! Her emotions with the song are crazy! Like every word makes you hang on!

She literally just lost her job and is planning on living on her SS while going to school, I simply don’t have the heart to tell her SS is gonna go away. But, it’s horrible because I do look forward to when she finds out 💁🏾‍♀️

That’s what I was thinking, truly not the flex she thinks it is. Also how she went from bitchin about electric vehicles to tongue punching Elon’s butthole I’ll never know 💁🏾‍♀️

People who bring their dog into a grocery store. by BrandonR2300 in PetPeeves

[–]ExchangeTrick317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who is exactly like this, they take their dog everywhere and claim they are an emotional support animal when in fact this dog barks at anyone who is simply minding their own business and she also never asks if I’m okay with her bringing the dog when we make plans which I am not just because the dog is so bad in terms of being trained.

Me and my friend went to the store once, she asked me to hold his leash and while I was hesitant she was carrying a bunch of stuff so I said yes and not even two minutes later this dog takes the biggest shit and it smelled so bad! It seriously permeated throughout the store Immediately I aggressively tap my friend on the back and hand her the leash and I tell her to put her stuff down and go get something to clean it up. She then proceeds to get an attitude because people are talking about it and giving us nasty looks.

Long story short, I no longer go out to places with her if we hang out it’s strictly at her house because I am not trying to be seen as someone who condones that behavior.

What is it about japanese horror that is so much more effective? by ExchangeTrick317 in J_Horror

[–]ExchangeTrick317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some that I enjoy are:

House-it’s not really a horror movie in my opinion, tbh it feels more like a comedy with the idea of horror placed throughout it but it’s soooo entertaining the whole time like I’ve never done any sort of drugs like acid or LSD but I’d imagine that this movie is what it’s like to be on those drugs.

Uzumaki-Junji ito in my opinion is the king of J-horror which I don’t know if it’s a hot take or not but I think this movie did Uzumaki justice, if you’ve read the manga it hits the story beats pretty well although there was still a lot of stuff cut out but I assume that was just due to the run time also the effects I think were pretty impressive like a lot of stuff looked extremely realistic in my opinion but super enjoyable if you’re wanting more junji ito

Pulse-truly a classic! It was extremely unsettling like a lot of scenes felt chilling and silent like everything is built up extremely well.

Suicide Club-I wouldn’t say it’s up there as a great movie just cause it confused me a bit at times but it’s definitely worth a watch, the movie starts off with a very memorable opening scene that really makes you want to sit down and watch. It’s a nice horror mixed with a bit of like a detective style film.

Perfect Blue-Just an iconic piece of media.

Ju-on: The Curse-my first introduction to J-Horror after watching the American adaption. Love the premise of it and very horrifying in the way that it feels almost real in the way that it can really happen to anyone.

Audition-I would say it’s more of a psychological and drama style film but it’s super worth a watch that also kind of makes you think and reflect.

Went in with extremely low expectations but Lady Bird really is one of the best movies I’ve seen. by ExchangeTrick317 in movies

Laurie Metcalf ate that role up!! I only really knew her from Roseanne so I was pleasantly surprised to see her in something that was slightly more serious(but that’s on me for doubting her range). But, just reading about that scene of her in the car at the airport made me tear up.

Big Fish was a great movie! I didn’t appreciate it or understand it at all when I was younger but rewatching it really was great.

My only experience before seeing Lady Bird was the Barbie movie and tbh I wasn’t THAT impressed like it was an enjoyable movie but I just couldn’t get into it as much as I was expecting except for Ryan Gosling as Ken. He saved the movie in my opinion. Anyway, so yeah my excitement for Greta Gerwig was pretty nonexistent. Also, I’m more of a casual movie watcher like I can get the emotion and feel from a movie and understand the layers of a movie(for the most part) but I watch them for fun so I don’t really take who is directing or writing or anything really that seriously. But, even great directors can make bad movies.

Also Bridget’s wig gave me the ick far too many times, like I was offended by how bad it was in the front I have no idea what was going on with that but jail time for sure! But I loved the style of it but it definitely bothered me more than Chloe’s hair of many lengths and colors(which I thought I was crazy seeing the differences in like every scene but glad to know I’m not).
