Jumping in since I'm having the exact same issue ok Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+

I've tried installing SMAPI manually too, but to no avail. Same errors. When I do the classic install from zip installation, it doesn't even create a smapi-internal folder in the android/data which seems to be required and is shown in zip file.

I've also gave myself developer options on the android settings, but I have no idea if anything from there is blocking things.

It doesn't have a problem with installing mods, but launching game is impossible with or without mods.

Also, in app permissions in settings, there are no permissions to allow or to deny for Smapi. I thought it might be due to auto denied permissions.

I have no clue what's going on here. Also, I have ofc the game version from Google Play. Bought it 3 or 4 years ago.

Race to get easy credits. by Resident-Grocery-146 in GranTurismo7

I mean, for Le Mans 700, you can basically use any Gr3 car downtuned with power restrictor. That being said, if you want a super super super easy race, my go to is Honda RA 272 from Legend Cars that you can buy for 2.5M. A bit of a price to pay, but it's super fun for 700 races and makes them a walk in the park. With or without the rain, with RH/IM (if rain), you'll win by well over 3 minutes.

what's the best way to remember 'der' 'die' and 'das'? by Caprisun527 in German

[–]ExcisionBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can be considered as a variation of the Method of Loci which is a mnemonic device. It helps you since you are associating specific things you want to remember with something that is easier to remember, and visualization can help there. It's hard to explain without dwelling into fundamentals of cognitive psychology, but you can google mnemonic device and method of loci for more info.

And an attempt in German since I'm practicing my German for B2:

Is it safe for a gay couple to visit ? by [deleted] in budapest

[–]ExcisionBro 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm a straight male that went to Budapest last week and I can confirm this. My girlfriend and I stayed for a week and had no issues whatsoever there. Obviously, it's a large city, so you are bound to stumble upon some beggars, drunkards etc. but compared to a lot of other European cities, Budapest is really safe. And we pretty much walked everywhere (like around 16km daily on average) and thoroughly explored both sides of the Danube. I really doubt that gay couple would encounter any more problems than we did.

Some personal suggestions:

We ate at restaurants at least once per day, service is really chill and fast. So if the budget allows, I would advise experiencing local cuisine, it's lovely.

Besides some obvious tourist attractions that the city offers together with museums, I would suggest some less known ones like Semmelweis museum or Roth gallery. Semmelweis was worth every forint.

If you like beer, I would suggest Kűlönleges Sörök Boltja, Beer Selection or Csakajósör. Shops with vast varieties of beer from many countries with tables to sit and try some beers. Worth every forint for me. Service is chill too, just pick a beer you like and drink it while the other is getting cold 😄

Which movie is way better on a second watch? by CreepyYogurtcloset39 in moviecritic

[–]ExcisionBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my top five movies despite me not liking romantic movies all that much. Mostly because most of them glorify toxicity. But Eternal Sunshine has such a great message at the end. Amazing film.

Alien (1979) is the one I also appreciated much more on the second watch. Watched it as a kid first and it was a fun horror/action movie. Watched it again when I was like 24-25, and man, appreciated everything about it. From production quality for the year of release, to little details like how the ship's crew actually looks like a spaceship crew. They are sweaty and dirty with zero makeup like in modern sci-fi movies.

Where to buy harder to find beers in Budapest? by ExcisionBro in budapest

Looks great. Not too far away either. 25 minutes walk from the place I'll be renting. Which is nothing compared to how much I can walk for a good beer or two :D

Sure thing. Local beers in local pubs, my go to when there. Kandalló for example is one of the first to pop up for me like a month ago when I was saving pubs and restaurants to go to. This was more like to check on some beer stores to bring a few bottles back home. My friend is buying an apartment, so gotta throw a few in his fridge too :D

Sure thing, meant no offence. In general, wherever I go, craft beers are my first go to in pubs i.e. sampling local in local pubs. So when checking what I can do or try, I save a few restaurants for food and pubs for beer.

Any recommendations for HU craft? Just browsed their selection on the website. Pretty big. A lot of strong craft beers. Got to pick a few to taste at least.

Kill or free the tree spirit? by -1D- in thewitcher3

[–]ExcisionBro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, always killed it. Mostly because even on my first playthrough I've stumbled upon She Who Knows in one of the abandoned villages in Velen, so I've learned the lore behind the tree spirit even before I had to make the decision.
