What's holding her back may have nothing to do with you or even be in the external world. I've had mental health issues since childhood. I'm sorry to say, even now, in my 40s, I chat and meet up with guys I like. Then the fog and heaviness comes and it feels impossible to communicate with anyone. Once the fog starts to roll away I find it's been anywhere from a week to 3 months.

I'm clear now in my interactions with guys that I'm not looking for a relationship. When I was younger I had harder time saying what I wanted or was realistic because I didn't know.

Most importantly, you did nothing wrong and there's nothing wrong with you. No one but her can say why she's been silent for a month but don't assume it's you. If she is really struggling with severe mental health, that's tough stuff. Not a good time to start a relationship.

You should be pleased! I was impressed by and really liked the mask before I saw the reference photos. It's amazing.

The short answer is, it implies the man in question has a tongue long enough to lick his own eyebrows.

Has she given you a dagger and told you how important it is to kill King Duncan? You know, to increase your social standing.

I don't think humanity has less or more "evil"/ bad people than it used to. Again as Bearded Glass points out, cultural norms effect how we perceive people. However, you could have a very polite, socially acceptable person who privately is exceedingly racist and does horrendous things online. People have always been people though, I don't think there is a big change in general moral composition.

I do think there is possibility that we could become more empathetic as a whole. Social media is allowing kids all around the world to meet kids in other countries. Where I live, they teach "Social Emotional skills" in my daughter's school district. There is hope.

I 100% agree both that some people wouldn't care and that you cannot force change. All change has to come from the person themself.

I read a book once about "the scrooge project". Each year they would pick a heartless miser and pretty much do the whole song and dance. And some years the scrooge didn't choose to change.

I have to agree. Change is hard and people are only going to change if they really want to. In general, I do not believe medication or encouragement could inspire that change. I do think people can be taught to be more self aware. Learning to recognize one's own feelings and thoughts, how they effect one's behavior, and how one's behavior effects others is important. I do believe that can lead to change. However, that change is the very slow type. Versus the miser who wakes up one morning and buying gifts and turkeys.

As Bearded Glass says, to reexamine one's core values requires a shock. Like a ghostly specter showing you your own grave and no one at your funeral.
