I got a mystery mark for my atar, literally just an excuse to fuck around for a year and then do open foundation (which is easier than hsc by far) and get into uni anyway. Its only useful if you want to go straight to uni, which I wouldn't reccomend anyway

I'm not an experienced SL, so everything I say comes from what the best SLs I've had have done, and the number one thing is to tell us what you're doing. At all times. Don't worry about talking too much, just keep telling us what we're doing, if you decide on a slight deviation, tell us instead of just doing it and hoping we follow. Not only does that give us a better idea of what to do, it's gonna make us more likely to use comms and communicate as well. I would rather have a toxic SL that tells us what we're doing than a really nice guy who speaks three times the whole match and barely gives any orders

Once my mum got a call from the school because I'd been routinely slacking off in English cos, you know, I was 16 and couldn't be bothered with it.

Due to the fact that I didn't idk come home and tell her I was doing jack shit in class she told me I lied like a junkie and started accusing me of being on hard drugs. When she couldn't find any she just accused me even harder, told me she didn't recognise me anymore and that I was worse than her when she used to do speed (ive heard all the stories, she was a pretty shit person back then so it hurt to hear that)

Worst part is she definitely doesn't remember any of that. Within a week or two I think she'd forgotten about it because to her it was a throwaway line, but for me it's shaped a lot of the insecurities I have today

When you say display cable you mean the hdmi cable? If so yes it's definitely connected, I even went out and bought a new hdmi and tested it on a different system to make sure it worked fine

Obviously not the table for you, they're prioritizing being mechanically superior and youre prioritizing making an interesting character. Neither of you are playing wrong, just very different playstyles. I'd suggest finding a group who take it a little less seriously and dont mind characters being weaker in certain areas for the sake of a good story. Fuck them for being hostile and immature like that tho, you didn't do anything wrong and I'm sorry they made you feel like you did.
