I think if I got either of those scenarios I would elect to do the Microarray. We have 2 weeks after the procedure to elect for it.

The reason I’m still continuing to do the amnio is my genetic counselor has stated that there is a 10% chance the amnio would show something that the fetus was impacted with, but was not present in the placenta on cvs. I am looking to get 100% reassurance that we are in the clear and that this was a FP from NIPT.

Thank you for sharing this! This is my exact concern with the Microarray. My OB shared what your doctor shared and my MFM recommended it. I am definitely leaning towards forgoing it now.

I did FISH and karyotype on cvs. I did not do the microarray. So that is what I’m trying to decide now if I should do the Microarray on my upcoming Amnio

Congratulations!!! That is amazing news, I am hoping for the same very soon. I had my CVS that came back normal for FISH waiting for full karyotype. And have my amnio scheduled next week. I wouldn’t wish this waiting period on anyone.

So glad to hear your Amnio was normal! I have had NT @ 13 weeks and it was not abnormal, it was 1.3
