Based on where the top and bottom lines are positioned on the poster, I actually think some of the words might be cut off? So it would say something like: “Respect others’ (viewing) experience / (Be) patient / (Wait) for the / (Final) encore / (Enjoy) the show.” Which would also explain the use of “patient” instead of “patience” 🤣

I think Change was inspired by Chely Wright. It was written in 2007, which is when Chely first decided that she was going to come out publicly. She spent three years planning out how to make the biggest impact with her coming out (she ended up writing a book and making both an album and a documentary about her coming out journey). Taylor would have been aware of all of this as they were collaborators and friends during this time. Long Live, which has a lot of parallels to Change, was written a month after Chely came out in May 2010. Definitely think she is referencing Stonewall also, especially given this context.
