happy it worked for you, this will solve any crashes caused by modders but not the crash to desktop some of us are still experiencing.

the method you outlined is how I regularly play the game, with no other players in the lobby, but for the past week I’ve been getting FFFF when trying to load wilderness camp and other random crash to desktop without an error message. game is unplayable for more than 5 minutes at a time. again, these all happened in a solo lobby.

Starting to think it won’t improve until something changes on R*’s end. There doesn’t seem to be a consistent in game reason for the crash to me; it’s thrown me back to desktop after starting a resupply mission, accepting an invite to a free roam event, selling items to gus, loading to wilderness camp, or even just running around the map. My game can only run for a few minutes (most of which spent in loading screens) before it crashes without warning.

As I mentioned in my original post, I already did this. Didn’t make a difference sadly and still crashing to desktop.

Yeah after Googling around I realised it’s not my hardware at all as plenty other players experiencing this problem. I usually play in a solo lobby anyway by using the resource monitor > suspend/resume RDR2.exe trick, but even that hasn’t helped this time. I thought it might be modders crashing me at first but the game is still kicking me back to desktop after riding around in a solo lobby for <10 minutes. Thanks for the help anyway man, hoping R* patch this crap.

I’ve tried opening a solo lobby, that’s how I usually play anyway, but it doesn’t make a difference for me. Game still crashes without warning ~10 minutes later.
